Your 'year of reading' from Goodreads has a different look this year.
Edit: 😆, it doesn't. It's the same at the website.

Here's my 2018 reading stats!
2018 Goodreads goal: 1000 (met 11/16/18)
Total books read in 2018 according to Goodreads: 1205
2018 books read according to my notebook: 1214
Broken down by category:
431 picture books
254 manga
200 graphic novels
116 youth nonfiction
52 young adult fiction
45 adult nonfiction
44 comics
37 adult fiction
30 youth fiction
3 fan fiction
2 young adult nonfiction
My actual stats - read a few books not on Goodreads. I read a lot of great books and only few bad ones🎉
I‘ve reached Mount Kilimanjaro for #MountTBR and #MountTBRChallenge @DivaDiane which means 62 books. Without gifts and bookshop giftcards and work/Uni books I‘ve only bought 24 new books - which is surprisingly little😁 all together a successfull reading year🎉
I‘m pleased with my finaly Goodreads Count😍 the high book number is only due to a lot of very short books, but I still managed to read much more than the previous years😊 I hope next year will be as bookish and I hope everyone has a brilliant start into the new year😘🌟🥂🎉
My 2017 stats - not my best year, many short, easy reads but lots of quality reads as well. Hmmm what would my favorites be?
Escape from Mr. Lemoncello‘s Library
Sorcerer to the Crown
The King‘s Mistress
The Little Giant of Aberdeen County
One Kick
El Deafo
And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer
Not near my goal, but I am proud of myself! Not bad for full-time graduate student and working over 50 hours a week. Next year's goals mostly involve tackling some of the very large number of books and ebooks that I already own but have not read 📚
#myyearofreading
I don‘t think I will have time to squeeze in one more. My goal was 60, so I think I did alright. I owe much of it to this wonderful place and all you fabulous Littens. You all just get me. ❤️ Happy New Year! May it be the most wonderful year, full of fantastic books, stories and friends.
2017 was the year that I read the most books. Thanks, Littens for being a part of my reading journey!
I‘ll be finishing up another book or 3 this year, but goodreads‘ year in review is always fun!
@Brona shared this challenge found on Instagram... I think it looks fun. Time to check my Goodreads and get caught up. 😃
I hate to admit it but I have actually never read any of these classics. They will definitely be added to my TBR list
Getting some ideas of what to read even though I have 3 books at home from the library
IT'S LATE BUT WELL-PLANNED WITH LOTS OF WIGGLE ROOM
My 2017 reading plan has finally taken shape.
It is not genre-specific and will help me accomplish
current, backlist, and TBR goals. Monthly recaps
will focus on my list of broad categories and will
display how well I adhered to my reading plan.
My only genre-related goal is to read all 10 plays in
"August Wilson's Century Cycle." #Donna_sBookYear2017 #TBR
Happy New Year Littens! After much deliberation (classic over thinker right here!), I have decided which reading challenges to strive for in 2017...
1️⃣ Goodreads Challenge: 75 books in 2017
2️⃣ #LitsyReadingChallenge 2017 (see bingo card above!)
3️⃣ #birthdaychallenge: 1986 - 2017 (excellent idea @TheNextBook ! 😊)
4️⃣ #bookriot #readharder2017 challenge
(and if I'm feeling extra ambitious!!)
5️⃣ Modern Mrs. Darcy's or PopSugar challenge
This shouldn't be hard, considering I've decided to do three reading challenges this year: #LitsyAtoZ #birthdaychallenge and #2017readingchallenge. Expanding my horizons and interests with those lists (the majority of which are TBR). Wish me luck! ❤📚😊
Welp there you have it. #2016 #goodreads
I posted my #topreads2016 earlier this week (see #2016toptenbooks 😃) so I'm going to post my updated and final #yearinbooks. I read more than I thought (my goal for the year was 257 on GR) and that's largely thanks to litsy and all it's cool peeps recommending awesome new books left and right. Thanks y'all! Looking forward to more great reads and fun photo challenges in the new year! #seasonsreadings2016
I updated my Goodreads stats and yaaaay, I did manage to crack 100. 😊 I might be able to squeeze in one more before New Year's but I'm more than happy with this result. Thank you, Littens, your motivation had a lot of impact. 💕
My results for 2016. Not bad. I think I started taking Goodreads seriously in late summer. Hopefully next year will be better!
The year isn't quite over so the numbers may change slightly - but Goodreads let me know that my year in books is up. 😃 I was a bit surprised by my most popular book - mainly in that number of other people read is much lower than I thought it'd be. Also, is it weird that this makes me want to read a super obscure book next year so for my 'least popular' book I'll have been the only one to read it? 😆 #yearinbooks
This is how the syllabus for my Rediscovering the Classics class gets made: on a warm summer evening with a glass of wine and a pile of books, sitting on the back patio listening to the crickets chirp. 🤓📚🍷
"Which among the tens of thousands of books published each year are worth reading? How do we make choices? How can we get more out of our reading?" Sometimes it seems like reading has become a competition, instead of reading for the enjoyment of the process. Do we think deeply about what we read?
This is a brilliant concept: a bookclub reference with 5 title suggestions around a monthly theme, descriptions of the title and author background, reflection questions and further reading suggestions for each title. Written in 2003, I would be interested in a 2nd or 3rd edition.
