Lost interest towards the middle of the book. Cute idea but took a long time to really get anything moving. I do appreciate that Phoebe wouldn‘t change overnight, but it was a bit slow for me at this point. I was enjoying it and then COVID hit and it just kinda got pushed aside. Not a completely fair review. Will have to maybe try it again.

I've got my #booktoteswap nearly ready to send. I live in Canada, but I'm going on a road trip. So I'm going 11 hours south along the east coast, then I'm going to mail it slightly north from there. What fun!

These books sound so cute.

I‘m not a big fan of (cheesy) contemporary romance in the first place and Bookishly Ever After makes it definitely VERY easy to overdose on the high school cliches and romance tropes incorporated into the story. I‘ve tried really hard to see beyond the cliches, but found myself too frustrated to be able to continue and finish the story. Sadly a DNF at 32%. 😕

Hmmm banana!! 🍌🍫 Just left my bananabread cooling so I can try I slice (who am I kidding; more likely two) when my hubby arrives home after work... Should combine perfectly with some Argentinian mate (drink)!

To be honest I'm really struggling to continue this story... Bookishly Ever After is stuffed with high school cliches, annoying characters and I can't seem to connect to the writing style. I was craving chocolate so I decided to bake banana-choco-bread to distract myself haha. It's in the oven right now and smells divine! 🍌🍫😍

I'll be needing something completely different after finishing Stillhouse Lake to avoid a book hangover, so Bookishly Ever After it is! Another granted Netgalley wish, although I don't remember ever wishing for it in the first place since it's not my favorite genre. 😆

Im the type of person who gets second hand embarrassment and there was a lot of that for me while reading this book.

Poor, Poor Phoebe is painfully awkward and prefers her books and her book boyfriends over real life. For as many cringe worthy moments pie Phoebe had there were a lot of sweet and adorably cute moments.

Very adorable read with great characters and you can't go wrong with a Heroine being a book nerd.

I felt this was a well written story. It is a page turner.

They say boys in books are just better. I have to disagree having a real relationship is always better even though they can sometimes get messy.

I absolutely loved this book. I totally could relate to Phoebe because I am also a book nerd.

I would recommend this book.

I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

My lovely bookish Christmas gift from a friend. I'm in love 😍

Pretty sure my family and friends think I only own bookish t-shirts. They're not *that* off the mark.

As a book nerd myself I totally related to Phoebe and the way she referenced characters into her every day life. Finished it in one go and didn't want to put it down.

This is a must read for anyone who considers themselves a book nerd. I really loved this book and found a lot of myself in it. It's cute and an easy read!!

(3 stars) Three Thoughts 1) a quick read and well written but was missing...something 2) found the book excerpts pointless and so skipped them 3) no heart achy feels here and wished for more when it came to phoebe and dev
