This was much better than I expected and went really far into a pretty cool world of demons. I imagine if you‘re a fan of Buffy this would be right up your alley.
When students at her school start to act strange and her best friend becomes unhealthily obsessed with the new librarian, Cynthia learns that she‘s immune to demon influences and decides to fight for her friend.

Librarian‘s of the digital age tend to adopt -brarian portmanteau names, as you may have noticed. I never did. Now, I have left the industry and decided to sardonically dub myself Exbrarian.

Next up, this is a Recycled Reads find that I‘m reading to determine suitability for the teens in my life. I‘m not even a chapter in and I have a grin. Also, all I can think about is Giles and the episode where he went all bad boy and Buffy‘s mom was his girlfriend or something.

Cynthia is secretly in love with Ryan and only admires him from afar. But everything changes when the new ridiculously attractive librarian starts at her school and her friend Annie falls in love with him. She is in a race to save her friend and school with Ryan‘s help.

Funny and entertaining read. What‘s not to love about Sweeney Todd loving demons and Cyn who also has a love for theater.

If you like musical theater and fantasy/adventure/comedy/romance, then this is the book for you! It was hilarious and captivating from start to finish! Minor note, I hated that there wasn‘t much physical description of the characters and you didn‘t get a grand sense of who the characters were as people. You‘d get snippets, but not the whole story which bothered me especially if it came up later. But I still love this book and highly recommend it!

It‘s a “it‘s just one more chapter” kind of a day. I‘m almost done with this delight page turner and it‘s better than sleep :)

Just started. So far it‘s fun and quirky. Reminds me of Meg Cabot characters. Can‘t wait to read more :)

Started celebrating my birthday early with a birthday weekend. Went to Powell's in downtown Portland and found a used copy of Evil Librarian in really good condition. Also stopped by a food cart afterwards for some Poutine.

So I'm trying to start a book journal this year to help me remember the things I've read (I have a terrible memory) and I'm having a difficult time writing in it. Help me out Littens! What types of things to you include in your reading journal?

What a fun and quick read. The story follows Cyn, a high schooler, who is trying to stop the new librarian, a demon, from destroying the school. She also is trying to save her best friend from the evil librarian. Can't wait for the second book to come out this year!

LOVED this book! Perfect October read for a scaredy cat like me! Suspenseful as all get out, some typical YA-ish stuff but clever and laugh out loud and grrrl powered through out. The demonic element reminded me of The Hollows and all the deals Al made over the course of the series. AND there is a sequel coming out in the new year!
