Okay, I just finished this heart wrenching book, and I am in love with it! It had so much action and romance that I practically squealed my way through it 😂 The instalove was up my ally, and the twists were wo unexpected. I loved the storyline and character development, plus the fast pace. I definitely reccomend this standalone.

The insta-love was a little weird, but definitely a good read if you like some romance with your street racing.

In my effort to make progress on my TBR, I'm utilizing Libby and Hoopla to get the audiobooks bc that's the most reading time I have now. I remember being so excited by this title, but it's wallowed too long unread.

This took over 200 pages to get interesting. I probably would have DNFed if a library loan, but I had swapped for it. Sexy and fast-paced? Try dull and crawling. No thank you, instalove! I've tried and struggled with Garcia's writing in the past but I wanted to give her another shot. Second chances aren't always a good idea. Between a so-so and a pan because of the redeeming ending. 2 out of 5 stars.

Re-read this over the last couple days. Loved it just as much the second time around. It‘s like Romeo and Juliet (where no one dies) meets The Fast and the Furious. I was totally rooting for Frankie and Marco and truthfully, would love to see the other characters in other books. Lex and Abel, Cruz, and I was totally dreaming in my head that Chief and Miss Lorraine would get together. 🤣🤣🤣

Do you ever sit down and imagine the kind of love you want? Well a romance this good can only be in books. The two characters have so much between them. Frankie and Marco both have dark past, but could they have a future together? This is what will keep the pages turning as the ups and downs of their relationship create a spark in your own heart. 10/10 must make a movie.

Another standalone YA romance from Kami Garcia. Not as good as Broken Beautiful Hearts. Much more... formulaic & cliche, if you will.

Went to the library yesterday because the website said this book was on the shelf, but me and a librarian couldn't find it. So I placed a hold on it, and someone found it because I picked it up today 🙃

Liked it, liked the characters, and it was a cute read. Perfect for a time when you don‘t want to read that much or when you don‘t know what to read.

Just started this one last night and I'm already more than halfway done! Fast and the Furious plus Gone in 60 Seconds (kinda) all wrapped up into a love story and there's a murder! Flying through this one!

I love a good paperback rejacket. This new cover for The Lovely Reckless is one of my favorites this year! 😍😍😍I enjoyed this read and the new direction Kami Garcia is going. Looking forward to what she has next.

The embroidery for The Lovely Reckless is one of my favorites: the watercolors mock the cover well and they were fun to work with. I'm thinking of finally reading this book on my trip!

The Lovely Reckless was an amazing read for me. The story moved quickly, and the plot was phenomenal. I loved he character development. Marco was so compassionate under the hard boy exterior (which we all secretly love) and Frankie was so loyal, almost to a fault. Loved the story, loved the romance, loved it all together. 5/5 ⭐️'s

I bought this book on a whim, got in the mail, started to read a few chapters before bed and couldn't put it down! Went to bed way past my bedtime, but it's summer so whatever. If you enjoyed Katie McGarry's books you'll enjoy this one as well.

I don't usually lean towards audiobooks, but I'm planning on getting in some good weaving or knitting time while listening to this. :)

☕️☕️☕️☕️/5: The Lovely Reckless is a thrilling fast-paced and heartfelt contemporary with a cute and sexy romance that readers will adore! I loved how tough Frankie truly is and I love how Marco is portrayed: a bad boy and he does have that vibe but there's so much more to him! Also, their kisses were steamy! I do wish this story had more racing and more car talk. Still, great story!

4/5 ⭐️ This is unlike any YA contemporary I have read this year. It's cruel and gritty and has a great set of characters. The pacing is good and I loved the street racing aspect of it. Yes, it's got insta-love, but I found I didn't hate it like I usually do. I think it's because I was more focused on everything else. Overall, enjoyed this book, especially the first half, which I devoured.

I'm really loving this one! Picked it up at BEA because Kami is great and it's her first Contemp YA.

I'm hoping to finish this tonight! Contemporary is not always my jam but I've been enjoying this one!

This book was perfect! Star-crossed lovers, street racing, mystery, and more. It lingered with me for days after I finished reading. One of my favorites of this year.

Kami Garcia is known for driving a book hard from start to finish but none of her books have been as high-octane as this one. Despite being a contemporary romance, not my preferred genre, I definitely got into this book immediately & loved every minute of it
