My favourite in the series so far!

Cute holiday novella set after the main Devils Night series.

Such a cute novella. More like an extended epilogue after Kill Switch. So cute seeing characters become parents. 4/5 🌟
This was my fourth time rereading this book, and I still absolutely love it! I always am so shocked by how dark this story goes considering it's targeted at kids, but the atmosphere makes the book so eerie and whimsical.
5/5 🌟
Another cute Ali Hazelwood book that's the same formula as her other works, but it's so addicive and cute with the right amount of spice!

Cute grumpy x sunshine romance, but also super spicy. I loved Ava and Alex together and how he helped her deal with trauma. Gets surprisingly dark halfway through. Fast paced and easy to read, the plot and twists were unpredictable and the ending was so fitting and had a nice HEA.
3/5 🌟
Liked the romance but would have liked more chemistry between Noah and Nick. Both characters made terrible choices and acted younger than they were, but kind of redeemed themselves near the end. Quite similar to the movie, but I prefer the film since more spicy and feels better targeted at an older audience. Ending felt rushed and out of place yet kind of HEA and wrapped up. Not sure if I'll read the others...
The hype is real. This book is so bloody good, I absolutely adored Violet and related to her so so much, Xaden I'd definitely my new book boyfriend, and I loved the dragons! 5/5 🌟
Hating myself for how long its taken me to read this absolute masterpiece! So good! 5/5 🌟
The movie did it better. A short and easy read but the romance felt off and overall the book had a few issues. The FMC Cassie wasn't very likeable with her cheating and hypocrisy. The ending was sweet but left kind of open and I'm glad the movie cleared things up.

An absolutely amazing romance with dark themes and beautiful poetic writing. 5/5.
A chilling slasher novel with massive classic horror movie vibes but with a supernatural twist. A slow pace to begin with but the shocking revelations make up for it. The ending feels a little rushed and all over the place but the epilogue was unique.
Book 4 in the 'If Love' series but it can be read as a standalone like I did. It was a cute exes to lovers romance mixed in with some forced proximity. It was a little spicy but nothing extreme, and had some really funny scenes. It did feel a little repetitive towards the end but luckily it all gets resolved and we are left with a well wrapped up HEA and epilogue that takes place four years later. 4/5 🌟
Ignoring the fact I read the series in the wrong order due to not being able go get a copy of the first book until last, this was a great novel. It portrays the first RE game so well and I loved the puzzles and action, though I do wish the fight scenes were more detailed. I loved Jill as usual, she's so brave and badass. 4/5 🌟
Very dark and definitely not for the faint hearted. I loved the variety of characters and their dark, twisted ideologies and backstories. The overall plot was mysterious and fun, with fighting and flsshbacks, it was an exciting story even until the end, when the revelations and 'villain' is revealed. I think my favourite character was Rorschach, I loved the prison part.
Another amazon H.D Carlton book, I absolutely loved this one! So eerie, spicy and makes you question your sanity. 5/5 🌟
An original novel in the Resident Evil universe. Like the others this one was action packed and full of Umbrella's monsterous creations. This is actually book 2 in the series so it's set before RE2 or the novelisation City of the Dead. The characters were fun and well fleshed out, I especially liked Rebecca, she's young but smart and optimistic. As usual the epilogue ends with the mysterious Trent, so I'd reccomend reading the series in order...
Fun and great manga artwork. Great mix of humour and action. Really liking the dynamics between Kenshin and Karou.
5/5
Amazing gothic romance with a unique story and forbidden romance. Perfect for fans of Gothikana.
A unique story that follows the sadly forgotten characters Lucy and Bertha from Dracula and Jane Eyre. The pacing felt a little slow to begin with but the original storyline and humour made up for it, and within the second half it was much more action packed and revengeful. I liked the references to the classic stories and themes of friendship and anger at being pushed aside or used. The friendship was well written and ending wrapped up perfectly.
Absolutely amazing sequel! 5/5 🌟

Absolutely shocking and great final book. Lost for words.
Loved the continuation of Pip and Ravi's banter and relationship. The plot and direction was shocking and just as mysterious as the first, though near the end it was unpredictable due to the sudden new direction. Seeing Pip become more angry and traumatised was interesting and I feel for her. The ending was good and left some loose ends which I'm hoping are cleared up in the third and final book.
4/5 🌟
Slow start but amazing plot and shocking twists. Mysteries aren't usually my thing but this book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, it was surprisingly dark and so well executed. The ending was so intense and I loved how the twists just kept coming. Definitely reading the second book soon!
So much darker than the first. Extremely emotional but so worth it, absolutely loved the resolutions and revenge, the ending was such a well written fucked up happily ever after that somehow suited the atmosphere of the series. If you're a dark romance fan, this series should definitely be on your radar!
A slightly spicy enemies to lovers story set in the world of mechanics, street racing and gang rivalry. It's simple to read and the plot was full of action, romance and mystery. Quinn and Ransom had some spicy chemistry and I liked the found family vibes at the garage. Overall a fun and romantic read!
After being on my TBR for so long, I've finally read it, and absolutely fricking loved every page. I devoured this book in a day, I loved the gothic setting of Parsons Manor, the story (check TWs!) and the mystery. The spice was phenomenal and I'm officially in love with Zade. Adeline was a relatable MC and I loved her friendship with Daya. The ending was so good, but that cliffhanger has killed me. I'll definitely be getting book 2 soon!
Another good addition to the Resident Evil book series, this one follows RE3 with kickass Jill Valentine and humorous Carlos Oliveira suriving Raccoon City. It was a fun action filled novelisation of the game with some differences. I'd say the pacing of this one felt slower compared to the other books. I liked Nemesis and the mulitiple fights against it, and the other monsters too. This book was definitely brutal. The ending was good too!
'Underworld' was a fun addition to the Resident Evil book series, it follows after the events of the previous book (or RE2). This story is a completely new addition to the RE story, but it was fun and had all the same elements as before; action packed fights, messed up monsters and some funny one liners. The character interactions were fun and enjoyable to see, and made the characters more human with their feelings. Fast paced and good ending!
This was a great novelisation of the Resident Evil 2 game, the plot was very similar and I liked the writing style, it's simple yet effective with enough description to know what's going on, but may be confusing to those who don't know the game well. The characters and their interactions felt the same, apart from Ada and her soft POV and her guilt. Though I liked this secret side of her, it didn't quite feel right. Overall a fast paced read!
My second reread of this book and I still love it (CC is still my fave though!) I loved seeing all the little future references, so many things now make sense and I absolutely loved seeing the characters in a new light. Very unpopular opinion but I'm thinking maybe Tamlin isn't as terrible as I originally thought, he's definitely not good, but maybe he deserves some form of redemption?
I was hooked from chapter one, though I struggled with the notes and pacing for the first half of the book. The main character Mia was so awesome, I loved her way of thinking and her cleverness, + I also liked Mr Kindly the non cat. The world building was extraordinary but I did get confused. Tric + the kinda romance was a nice break from the darkness of the book. The twists and plot was unexpected + so good, especially the ending + cliffhanger.
Love this part, the library in the book seems so cool but deadly!
Such a good addition to the Teen Titans graphic novel series, I loved how Robin was incorporated into the story and the elements of friendship and forgiveness between the characters. As usual Raven and Beast Boy were my favourites, and I love their relationship. The art was spectacular and I loved the small details like Gar's animal tops and Raven's moody style. I can't wait for the Starfire book to release spring 2024!
Though slow paced, I did enjoy some of these stories and essays, there are a wide range of adventures though most are based in England and seem to obsess over the 'old world'. Many are written so passionately and I've got to say that Irving can potray admiration well through his poetic writing style. My favourites in this book were; The Wife, Rip Van Winkle , Rural Funerals, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Sleepy Hollow was so good but more romance.
Dark, borderline gothic and passionate!
It's fast paced and fairly short, the mystery and atmosphere was so good and I loved the plot. I tabbed so many quotes, the writing was simple yet effective. It also had some good philosophical points and the ending wrapped up nicely. I'm now off to watch the adaptation of it!
This collection of short ghost stories is great for fans of classic literature or fans of H.P. Lovecraft. Personally I found quite a few to me anticlimactic and not entirely spooky, though most did have a dark and gothic atmosphere with tension until the end. Due to the writing and historical context I did get confused at times, so my enjoyment may differ to others. The ones I did enjoy, I loved. They were dark, slightly eerie and spine chilling.
Perfect for fans of The Lost Boys, a retelling on the 80s movie. This book was funny, gory and full of small town vibes. Though a little slow, it's definitely worth reading for a funny yet action packed story!
3/5 🌟
Slow paced and definitely tells more than shows, but has some good philosophical points and an intriguing take on gothic literature and science. Enjoyed seeing the POV of Frankenstein and the Monster, both were easy to feel for.
