Epic fail in meeting my #BFC goals. I‘m still working response to Arkansas flooding, and swim team started this week for the kiddos. So, time and sleep has been pretty limited lately. I‘ll have to start fresh next week. If work keeps up like it has been, I may have to adapt my goals, but I‘m determined to get back into it. I did get one book in. I new it would be a struggle, I was unable to it the target in the #24B4Monday challenge. I did make some good progress on some current reads and started #HouseofLeaves early for the October buddy read. I still love a good readathon, thanks @TheReadingMermaid !

You may know, my daughter just had a baby and surgery on Saturday, but for the last month my life has been consumed with getting her there. I am visiting my hometown, Terre Haute, Indiana, this week. I decided to visit the Indiana State college bookstore, which is now a Barnes and Noble store. I looked all over for bookmarks and couldn't find them. I finally broke down and asked the clerk, and she told me they don't carry them?! I was so confused, because they sell books.

Well I forgot and then gave up on my stopwatch for #24in48 yesterday. The last I saw it was about 6+ hours. I did a bit of reading today but most of my day was spent making cookies - it's the first day of Lunar New Year on Saturday, and it's a little tradition in my family to make our own cookies, even though we aren't expecting visitors. I made oatmeal choc chip and melt-in-your-mouth pork floss cookies!
