Finally found a book that grabbed my attention!
This book has a weird relationship with food. Yes, a part of the book is a survival story, where access to food and water takes center stage. But the parts that aren‘t, the MC says on three different occasions: “I‘m sure tasted good, but I ” continued in comments #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks
Honestly this book surprised me. Better than I thought it would be. I am scared to say anything more because I don‘t want to accidentally give anything away.
Things dont always work out the way we hope You just have to pick yourself up and find a new direction to go in
Maybe that‘s the mark of a real leader Admitting a mistake has been made and finding a way to stop it at all costs
The earth is resilient but it‘s hard to imagine a time when this place will be anything but a terrible reminder of what we as a people can do
Forgetting that it happened doesn't change anything Nothing can change the past
This was really good, honestly maybe better than I remember it being!! I think this is a perfect beginner YA novel to get into dystopian reading. It is a little reminiscent of the Hunger Games especially at the end of this novel. This had great pacing and character development I thought! Overall this was a really quick fun read!!
Taking a break from Geralt and friends to reread an old favourite 😊
Genre: Speculative Fiction

How did you choose this book: The title and the cover of this book caught my attention. I also read the back and It seems interesting.
I‘m really liking this one. I‘m glad I finally decided to check it out! Can‘t wait to see what happens next.
Litsy won‘t let me post. This is a test
Issue seems to have been fixed. Thank you @Litsy staff! ❤️❤️❤️

I finally started buying the little twinkling lights so I can try to start taking fun photos like everyone else does on Instagram. Here is my first attempt. Guys I need a room dedicated to just my books. My obsession may be getting a little out of hand. I need to know how other people make their photos look so flawless. Oh well I'll keep practicing
Like me!
Grading exams is not my favorite kind of reading but a cup of tea and the promise of a book tonight will get me through!
Anyone ever read this? I‘m only like 10% in, but it‘s kind of feeling very much like Divergent...I‘m gonna keep going with it but doesn‘t feel super original at this point.
Started The Testing this morning while my furbabies were sleeping and am almost 100 pages in now. Enjoying it so far and wondering what these tests involve - after some cleaning and cooking and taking care of the doggies I‘m back to reading. What are you reading today? #dogsoflitsy
This is what the belt looks like at the grocery store when you have state testing all week with kids who get extended time. #forme #forthem #forus I‘m not allowed to read during the test 😩 but I‘m hopeful I‘ll still be able to squeeze in some of a new book today!!
Making an effort to actually finish some of the MANY series' I have started and then abandoned...did a quick re-read of this one before diving into books 2 and 3. Fun, Hunger Games-esque vibe.
Minor craftsplosion this afternoon testing pens and markers 😀 #bookmarkswap ideas are forming...
@DebbieGrillo and @shanaqui I sent emails to you but haven't heard back yet (I checked my junk mail just in case), let me know if I need to resend!
@Lacythebookworm I got your first email and replied, hope you got it, let me know if not.
Honestly, I was really disappointed with the book. The story started out fine, but soon it became more of a romance book. She and Thomas find each other and depend on each other through a death defying competition!? Your already competing in a test for your life and your thinking about a guy? That was just to much to fast for me. And the ending was also a big failure in my opinion.
Okay y'all, I'm starting my part-time summer job today. I shouldn't be nervous, but of course I am, because that's just how I roll. I'll be a testing administrator for Pearson, which means I'll basically be watching people take certification tests to make sure they don't cheat. The worst part about this? I can't read while they're testing! So I guess I'm asking for everyone to send me caffeinated good vibes so I don't fall asleep at my desk.
Day 156: "The Testing isn't always fair, and it isn't always right." #shoes by #enzoangiolini
I left my current read at work and I can't get it until Tuesday 🙁...so I'm diving in to another re-read that I adore 😊
When I'm not wife-ing, mothering, or reading, I'm a college biology professor. I gave an open-answer lecture exam to 115 students on Friday, this week I'm giving open-answer lab exams to 85 students, & I have to write an exam for the local high school Science Olympiad by Saturday. I'm afraid that this picture will constitute the great majority of my reading for the next several days. ☺ See you on the other side, Littens! #professorlife
went to a YA trivia event with my gal pals, won second place, and got this ARC as a prize! a pretty solid night 💫

Was born and went to college here! I was so excited to see specific references in the story to the aircraft industry part of town and the nationally recognized zoo, specifically the jungle building pictured here. If you ever make one of those "books from every state" lists, put this in instead of Wizard of Oz and all of Kansas will thank you.

I've never read it but apparently The Testing won a book bracket at my local library.
I loved this book. I really like the plot and the "every character isn't safe" tone throughout the book.
If you're into dystopian society books, this trilogy is the one for you. It centers around a young girl by the name of Cia. She gets chosen for the Testing. At first she's excited about it, until it takes a deadly turn. must read in my opinion.
Another ya dystopian future. This one could have used some more world building. But still a fun and quick read.
