These are the reading challenges I‘m focusing on this summer.

The Unread Shelf Project - This one is for the entire year. I have until the end of the year to finish it.

Greek Mythology Challenge - This one doesn‘t have a start or finish date so I can take as much time as I need to.

30 Books In 3 Months - This one is only going on for 3 months. I will be reading past the deadline just so I can fill out the entire template with books.

Returned three books to the library and collected four. The problem with just reserving books online is that you don't see how big they are. 😬 😅

The amazing @TheHeartlandBookFairy is once again hosting the #14books14weeks reading challenge! And I‘m jumping on board! 14 books in 14 weeks, starting on Memorial Day through Labor Day.

These are all books that I can actively remember being really excited for. I‘m hoping keeping them out like this will reignite that excitement!

It was a random draw between the pictured BOTM stack or a pile of Nicholas Sparks books for #14books14weeks2023 and BOTM won the draw. I‘ll be thrilled if I can read down 14 older and/or chunkier BOTMs by summer‘s end. If you wonder about the tabs on the bottom of the spines… I combine read/unread books on my shelves but tab my unread books.

My #14books14weeks2023 . 5 non fiction hard copies (4 of which I just fell in love with the covers 😅 ), and all similar topics of positivity, strength, gratitude, empowerment, etc. & 9 fiction digital advance copies in a variety of genres.

Omg. ❤️ The Summer Reading Program at our library starts in two days! 📖😎☀️ I'M SO EXCITED! This year we're giving tweens and teens not only a free book of their choice when they finish, but also a free book when they sign up! 😱🎉 WOW! Because I am the luckiest librarian ever, it's my job to pick out and order the prize books! I set a cart up for Saturday with some of their options! See anything you like? 😀

I‘m sharing my summer reading chart for this month. I‘m enjoying filling these reading charts out. Instead of coloring in the stars after finishing a book, I‘ve been adding the book covers.

Here‘s my progress on #30booksin3months. I might end up finishing this before the deadline or by the deadline. Last summer when I participated in this challenge, I didn‘t finish by the deadline so I read past it. I‘ve read so much this month because I‘m participating in #bookishbingo.

TODAY IS OFFICIALLY THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER READING AT MY LIBRARY! WHOO HOOOOOO! 🎉🎉🎉

The theme is Tails and Tales, so animal books are going to be highlighted! 🐒🦊🐢

This is seriously the BEST time of year to be a librarian, especially if you work with kids or teens! It's so fun to get everyone excited about reading and about wonderful books! 💕📚💕

Running errands, I stopped by the doorway desk of the library to pick up my Summer Reading Challenge reward bag. This is what 1000 minutes (the limit) gets you (at least as an adult!) besides a bunch of entries into the drawing for airline tickets. There‘s a little tote bag, Hawaii Library appliqué, travel metal straw & cleaning brush, Sun Chips, Korean seaweed snack, iced tea & a McDonald‘s GC for a small treat. Wonder what was in the kids bag??

How did I miss this??? I may be 6 weeks late but I‘m still going for it!!! #PopSummer2020

OK, here are my stats for @Andrew65 ‘s #JoysOfJune challenge: I finished three of my four books and am 27% into the 4th one.

I actually feel pretty good about what I accomplished as our college son came home on Wednesday for a Father‘s Day visit, and we spent a lot of time with him. 💙

Are we not getting a Goodreads Summer Reading Challenge this year? Guide came a few days ago but no Challenge List.
Or am I just impatient? 🤓

Another summer reading challenge book finished. Just read Inheritance, which was great. I‘m listening to Resistance Women. I‘m got several more that I own or have from the library so I‘m going to keep reading through September!

Catching up my Modern Mrs Darcy Summer Reading list. I‘ve read a lot of them so far and I plan to keep working on it even though my summer is most definitely over.

Finally got my May wrap-up together. A good reading month with a total of 10 books.

4 ~ Physical books
5 ~ Audio books
1~ Ebook (Netgalley)

Have not yet gotten my June TBR list together yet. I am waiting on my #BEA and #BookCon2019 books to arrive. I shipped everything FedEx. Once they arrive and I have had time to sort and catalog them I will be able to get a game plan together.

They have all been audiobooks but the time I was able to put into books would have taken me 61 years to get this far 🙂

Picked up my adult summer reading challenge prize today! Because yes, I am already done. I am still working on the challenge from library system 2.

Our library kicked off their Summer Reading Challenge today with a fun day of activities! So glad we were able to make it after baseball!! Lincoln got his reading log to earn his badges, a free Elephant and Piggie book, a ballon animal, listened to story time, did an obstacle course, did a summer quest scavenger hunt, had a yummy lunch, and so much more!! We can‘t wait to start our summer reading!!! #lowermakefieldlibrary #summerquest

@TheHeartlandBookFairy just posted the #13Books13Weeks summer reading challenge, set from June 4-August 31. I‘m in! Who knows if I‘ll even make it, but I‘m willing to try. These have been languishing for months for me to read, so might as well push these up to the top of the stack. Some will be quicker than others, and the #24in48 in July should help me catch up if need be.
