This is my first Colton Whitehead book and I‘ve heard mixed reviews.
This is my first Colton Whitehead book and I‘ve heard mixed reviews.
Currently enjoying! 👻 🎃 🍁
Currently reading.
I thought I knew the details of Columbine. I remember seeing it happen on TV and was shocked at what I saw. But what I knew was not what really happened. Truth of the incident developed over time and,of course, the media didn‘t cover what ultimately came out about this mass shooting. The author kept the story moving by going back to the troubled past of Eric snd Dylan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This has been on my TBR for a long time. I finally got to it this weekend. Mike loved Verity. They play a sick game of Crave. This game involves Verity flirting with other men and Mike rushing in to confront the other man. Then Verity leaves mike and marries another man. Mike thinks they are still playing Crave. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Your results have very little to do with the goals you set and nearly everything to do with the systems(habits) you follow. This book is very insightful on a very basic level. I‘m reading a chapter a day as I try to incorporate some better habits.
Labor Day plans
Enjoying Ana and Quan‘s romance this long weekend.
I‘m only 50% finished and hoping it picks up soon. 😱
I started Stephen King‘s Billy Summers yesterday and loving it already.
Malibu - 1983- Rich People Drama - Taylor Jenkins Reid - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They only knew each other for 56 days before they went into lockdown together. Now 1 of them is dead!
I know this thriller has readers loving or hating it. The final twist was something I‘ve never seen and I was OMG what just happened. I haven‘t been this shook since I‘m Thinking of Ending Things or Behind Her Eyes. I‘m clearly in the loving it side. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Up next
This is my third book from JD Robb‘s In Death series and I think it‘s my favorite so far! On a side note, I hate when B&N puts these stickers on the books.
I love a strong female main character and the plot was quite interesting. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excellent nonfiction account of the early days of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The girl in the mirror is about identical twins who are considered “mirror twins”. I find this interesting because my father was considered a mirror twin and I‘ve never heard of another set of twins like him. He was born in 1929 and said he had tests done at a Michigan university when he was young. Time for more research since I‘m curious now.
This is a cute grouchy guy/sunshine girl romance. One of my favorite tropes.
I started this yesterday. To be honest it is a bit slow. Hoping I can continue. Does it get better?
Only two chapters in but I‘m already in love with the Elsa character.
I‘m loving it so far!
I‘m enjoying this today but could it be Too Good to be True?
Abigail has a drunken one night stand at her bachelorette party. But she put that indiscretion behind her. Then the man appears on her honeymoon saying their affair meant much much more to him. I‘m expecting a lot from this thriller because it is Peter Swanson, the author of The kind Worth Killing. Anyone read this yet?
I love the Brown Sisters! Eve Brown is the youngest, somewhat immature Brown sister. She‘s starting a job at a bed and breakfast and falls for her boss. So cute!
Enjoying this thriller today. I love thrillers with a true crime podcast or documentary element.
Beartown was an emotional roller coaster ride of emotions for me. The book was very good but I am still reflecting on it a year later. So, here I am about to embark on another trip to Beartown.
I am starting this highly rated historical fiction today. Any thoughts?
I LOVE an unreliable narrator, as long as mental illness is not used. This main character is drunk all the time and I can‘t figure what is going on. Any suggestions on other books using this device?
This has been on my TBR for too long. Today is your Day!
I usually avoid books about suicide but the premise and reviews about The Midnight Library were intriguing. Although the book is causing anxiety, I think I will continue.
Why did I wait so long to read this! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💋Emira , you are going places, girl!
Awesome story of a mother who gives birth to aDown‘s Syndrome afflicted daughter in 1961. Her husband convinces her to institutionalize her at birth. Then she discovers the awful reputation of the “school” where her daughter has been for 2 years. Compelling .
I am starting this reread of Doctor Sleep this sleepy Sunday. I feel that you either love this book or you don‘t. It‘s definitely not what I expected of grown up Danny Torrance but I enjoy this story nonetheless.
I read this book in one sitting. It was a page turner and the POVs of the family who lost a loved one to a police shooting was heartbreaking. But it was, unfortunately, forgettable. I needed more.
I only read about 10 nonfiction books a year , so I‘m selective about what I pick up. As a person who has stayed up too late reading a good book, I‘m starting to appreciate the value of a good 8 hours of sleep. I plan to read a couple of chapters of Why We Sleep before bed in February. 😴 🛌 💤
I‘m really enjoying this. I find myself thinking about it when I‘m not reading it. It‘s so well written and the story is compelling.
It‘s raining 🌧 today and it‘s my sweet daughter‘s birthday. Hoping The Patient is as good as I‘ve heard.
This is a repeat author for me. I really enjoyed their other book Something in the Water. And I love a good amnesia story. Happy MLK day!
