This novel is heartbreaking. I liked the characters, even Luke, the father of Edward and Cara. The story is told from each character‘s perspective. The love shared between them is strong. 4.5/5

Aren‘t these end papers beautiful!! They were not in the copy I had previously 🤎🧡🍁🍂
I read this one many years ago and it‘s so good!!

Straddling the pick and so-so on this one. I always love the controversial subject matter that Picoult writes about, but I felt that this one missed the mark on engaging the reader emotionally, esp. considering the subject matter (life support). I think this was primarily because the characters, pretty much all of them, were not very likable. But I did learn a lot about wolves and wolf behavior!
This was the library bookclub pick for March. I read it in two days. Frankly none of the characters were likable. Cara (17 yo daughter) was a giant spoiled brat. There was even one point where it seemed the story derailed a moment. If I‘m generous maybe two stars. #picoult #lonewolf #unlikable
WHEN A NEW MEMBER COMES TO A PACK - A LONE WOLF, FOR EXAMPLE, FILLING A VACANCY- HES TESTED TO PROVE HES CAPABLE OF HOLDING THE POSITION, AND THAT HE WILL NOT THREATEN THE OTHERS IN THE FAMILY. 🐾
Rose‘, Pumpkin Cookies and some reading material! Definitely feeling the Fall vibes! 🍷🍁🍂
Hold this rope while I dive into my soul; don't even bother pulling it if I didn't come up on my own.
I really enjoyed this book. My husband enjoyed the "Luke" parts that I read to him
Allergies and work have been kicking my butt for weeks. Trying to relax for a bit before facing real life once again.
Just curious, how many of you are the lone reader in your household? Just wondering how many of us are surrounded by readers or if we tend to be the lone wolf 🐺
Yeppers!! Once again this author blew me away! A bit of a Thai culture experience, brain stem injuries and living like a wolf!! 🐺
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is why I love Jodi Picoult! Every book I read of hers I learn so much! (The following text takes place in Thailand)
1. Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA
2. Fiction/ Historical Fiction/ Thrillers/ Memoirs
3. Lone Wolf- Jodi Picoult
4. Burritos/ Tacos
5. A dachshund named Greco(He‘s such a funny dog but not funny when he ruined my couch cushions.. TWICE)
6. Ask me anything 😊😁
Thanks for posting @RebelReader
I loved this Jodi Piccoult novel (still haven't come across one I didn't like)! It was certainly a page turner, and I found myself thinking about the plot constantly during my non-reading moments. Definitely recommend this one!
This book is for anyone who has felt a call to the wild. I thought this book was going to be a 5 star book, but ended with a 4 star. I couldn't get over one of the characters. Plus, it was one of those books where you wanted to just yell "spit it out!" I really enjoyed pretty much everything else. This is my first book of hers. I loved the writing and will be looking to her other books because of it. Recommended!
This is the second of Picoult's that I've read. The first was My Sister's Keeper & I loved it. I thought it was complex & devastating, somber & amusing in all the right places. Reading Lone Wolf, which I was STOKED to read, I felt like I could see every twist coming. What seemed clever and surprising about MSK now just feels like a formula the author uses for possibly all her stories and I am not inclined to pursue any of her other ventures.
i loved this book. it's the first book i loved this much in a while
This is what I like about photographs. They‘re proof that once, even if just for a heartbeat, everything was perfect.
I am simply not a fan of this novel. I was never invested in this story or these characters! Animals are not her strength. Court rooms are.
