Another VFD to investigate, a library to search for answers, and a dastardly plot by Olaf 🔥

Finished book 8 today. Trying to decide if I start the Netflix series now or save that for #Scarathlon 😈 Also finished Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me on Thursday but forgot to post. #SuperSeptember #BookSpinBingo
Was the series that really got me into reading as a kid
Another childhood gem that was fun to reread. I didn‘t remember much about this one, and would love a reread of the full series one day! This one helped to check off #Scorpio prompt #14 as the 8th book in a series. 🦂 #ReadYourSign @Meaw_catlady
1. My favorite spring activity is going for walks and seeing the neighborhood ducks and rabbits hopping around!
2. Extrovert but at times I‘m introverted if that makes sense.
3. I have read 5 books in March and this Lemony Snicket book was my favorite!
4. Lots of love to all the Littens playing this game or reading this weekend!!
#friyayintro
YES! This was my favorite Lemony Snicket book yet, and also the darkest!
Now I cannot wait to start the next one. The children disguise themselves as a doctor, nurse, and patient in an attempt to get more answers, but will they be able to get away before something even more unfortunate happens?
Loved this audio version but I was so engaged, I‘m sure reading it would have been as entertaining!
Funny I listened as I was IN the hospital myself.
Book 46 of the year, finished June 17, audio
Im reaching the conclusion that this series is not for me. I'm pretty determined to finish it out, mostly because they're quick reads, but I'm not really enjoying them.
A reread after watching the Netflix episodes for this book. It‘s nice to spend time with the Beaudelaires again, even if their creator is a dirtbag.
Yeah, I‘m that person listening to an audiobook at the baseball game. My brother went to concessions so I‘m not being antisocial 😋
"Inside the room, each lying uncomfortably in a metal bed, were a man with both legs in casts and a woman with both arms in bandages. Still singing, a man from V.F.D. handed one balloon to the man and tied another to the woman's cast, because she could not hold it with her broken arms." #fractured #QuotsyApril18
Watching A Series of Unfortunate Events has become a family affair. We are deep into Season 2 & enjoying it as much as the 1st. I must also credit it with sparking my son‘s interest in reading. He was mesmerized by the 1st season & had to know how it all ended. Right away. So, he raced through the entire series & hasn‘t stopped reading since (which I was able to tell NPH who I saw at a book signing last year). ❤️ my son‘s enthusiasm & the show.
Honestly never thought of Lucy Punch for Esme Squalor but she is perfect!!! My favorite villain next to Olaf. Also Carmalita was annoying in the book. Top notch in the show! #whatcantyoubeat #deadhorse #perfect #thatblacklipsticktho #muchlove #binge
It‘s pretty much like every other book in the series with some very slight details that sets it apart - slightly. It‘s alright. I love the art, and the whole layout and look of the book. Planning on finishing the whole series by June.
After an hour of just winding down from that last book, it‘s onto the next read!
This helped with my surgery, ironically.
It's so fun to see how Count Olaf keeps coming up with all these insane disguises, and there was a lot of character development in this one. Also, the Baudelaires keep finding more hints as to what happened to their parents.
Well that's quite a pair of references for a children's book.
It seems like the only books my brain wants right now are these...loved this as much as the others.
Going to take a break before number 9, felt bad for rushing this one and not really feeling it but enjoying getting closer and closer to unraveling the mysteries!
This is the first real time the children are forced to do something that isn't quite right. They lie, they disguise themselves, they decieve. We watch them struggle with these moral dilemmas as they unfold. They ask themselves if it's justifiable to do something wrong if it will save their lives, or are they becomihg something corrupt, and this is just the beginning. The mold of the storylines is changing, and I'm enjoying the new twists.
Loved this eighth book in The Series of Unfortunate Events. My kids now know the meaning of the term binge watching as they watched the entire Netflix series already over a long weekend when everyone had strep throat. Luckily we still have the books to enjoy. This is my #H book for the #LitsyAtoZ challenge.
😳😳😳 Oh, the accuracy.

My current view... thanks for all the prayers and well wishes everyone! Surgery didn't go as well as hoped- they had to make a larger incision because my cyst had grown and was all twisted around. While they were in there, they found endometrial cancer in the one ovary. The good news is that I still have one ovary and my surgeon thinks she got all the cancer.
Hospital selfie! So ready to get this over with...
@24in48 book 2 for the readathon: done!
I love the #endpapers on this edition of The Hostile Hospital. It sets up the creepy mood that will be sure to follow in the book. #ReadJanuary
Always attempt to avoid a cranioectomy.
I love this series.
started and finished this book today
hope you get well soon...hahaha he he he have a heart shaped balloon
Had to participate in today's #augustphotochallenge because my favorite bookish siblings of all time are Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire from A Series of Unfortunate Events. 👁
I gave up reading college stuff. Now off to Lemony Snicket #24in48 (5:24 and counting)
Much better than book 7. This installment broke out of the very predictable pattern of the previous books. I'm hopeful that the last few books will also be different.
Reading in my pjs in the backyard, listening to loud pops of daylight fireworks.
I listened to this as an audiobook and Tim Curry is an absolutely fabulous narrator. His voices are amazing and I am definitely listening to the rest of the series as an audiobook. I thoroughly enjoyed this and I am getting so hyped for the Netflix show.
