I was so confused when an Amazon driver dropped off a package this afternoon because I hadn‘t ordered anything. Turns out it was my #Bookspin prize for 2023. Thank you @TheAromaofBooks this series has been on my TBR for a long time and this is the excuse I need to go ahead and start reading it.

The reader sees what is happening from several pov: Jess/Brendan, Khalila, Wolfe, & Morgan. Everyone else is reeling from what they see as Jess's betrayal of Wolfe, but Jess does have a plan, albeit a deadly one. Parts of this did read a little as it if was being padded out a little too much, & it possibly could have been completed in 4 books rather than 5, but it manages to hold the attention most of the time. 3.5🌟

The group is split up, all working on their own plans to return the Library of Alexandria to its original purpose, a beacon of knowledge.

This book has the same problem as 3, so much happens, constantly on edge, and yet it still feels like filler. BUT with the group split up, we get 3 additional narrators, which are great! Although, given how short the time is, not a lot of character development.

I‘m pretty sure the last will be wild! 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑

This is book 4 in the series and my favorite so far. I like this series better than The Morganville Vampires. This book ended nicely though there is another book in the series. 4⭐

Wow that ending letter from the Spanish King sent shivers down my spine. Things are not looking very good for the MCs. I‘m looking forward to the next(last?) book!

Fantastic addition to the series! It's been a while since I read the first 3 books, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to follow this one. But the author did a great job of pulling the reader back into the world of The Great Library. This one was adventure-packed. I'm looking forward to the conclusion of the story in book 5!

I almost forgot to post this. I got a small #BookHaul today, so now I have the complete series on my #TBR shelf. There‘s just something about knowing that you have fun books just waiting to be read. ❤️

Finished this today—now I wait for the next! I really enjoyed this. It was paced better than the last one & for the most part I appreciated the introduction of different POV characters. I just wish Caine had been more consistent with it (previous to this book & here), as it got a little contrived toward the end. But I‘m really enjoying the characters & the world & can‘t wait to read the conclusion (fortunately this one wasn‘t too cliffhanger-y).

I finished this one over lunch today. My first read of the new year. It was good. A solid pick though not as good as the first in the series.

This is my birthday Christmas book haul. I also got two kindle books and two gift cards to B&N (among lots of other non-bookish gifts, my favorite of which is a toss up between my new chest freezer and a pair of boxing gloves and punch mitts)! 😮🎄🎁

I have LOVED this series from the beginning! The characters, the action and the twist on what the world would be like if The Great Library of Alexandria still existed! I‘m now anxiously awaiting the next and final installment in this series!!!

Wow. Incredible pacing and a great setup for the last book.

This was a solid book 4 in this series. I definitely liked it better than book 3 which I felt was too predictable. I liked that this book was told through different character‘s POV and there were some surprises and twists along the way. I can definitely recommend this to students that like fantasy/adventure!

I love this series and am looking forward to the last book.

Spent about an hour on the torture mat finishing the 4th book in the Great Library series.

This is not the end to the series. There will be another book.

As much as I enjoyed the different POVs, it needed some getting used to, I was so used to being in Jess' head.

And although there was not a boring moment within the story, I would have liked to have a conclusion now.

I really like this Great Library series and this book was a cool addition. A fun adventure and good intrigue.

So far, The Great Library is one amazing, thrilling, heart-pounding & adventure-filled series! The plots are solid and consistent throughout the series, iridescent characters & suspenseful storytelling. I love it! Although heartbreaking, but I can't wait to read the final book of the series 💕💕💕

It took me a while to get used to the new switching point of view intstead of reading the story from only Jess's perspective, but when I grew accustomed to it, I couldn't stop reading. These characters have become as familiar as friends. It is my new comfort series now. Thank you @GarthRanzz and @MinDea for hosting #TheGreatLibraryChapterADay #buddyread ! I can't wait until the last book is out!

So I finished Smoke and Iron and ... arrgghh!!! I cheered, cried and screamed reading this book! What a great series so far and now I have to wait till next year for the final book! I enjoyed this #TheGreatLibraryReadAlong very much!

I think my passion for libraries has increased my love of these books. I have really enjoyed #TheGreatLibraryChapterADay buddy read. I hate that I now have to wait for the final book! The changing perspectives of this one made the book move quicker I think, though sometimes it felt too quick. Still loved it though! @MinDea @GarthRanzz

Despite my reluctance to pick up the last two books in the series, I ended up really enjoying this! Full of action and emotions and I found myself needing to find out what was going to happen. Ahhhhh so good! My favorite so far in the series! And there is still one more to come?! This was very fast paced, full of drama, and full of lovable characters. I loved how the chapters switched back and forth between different characters' perspectives, too!

Hoping to start this tonight if I can stay awake. If not, then tomorrow! Excited to see what happens. Not sure about the format change (focus on multiple characters instead of just Jess). And I thought this was the last book, but there's going to be one more!

This baby has been sick the last couple of days. Took him to vet today, which he abhores (hate is not a strong enough word).

Sooo my oldest daughter wants to watch the IT movie bc it has Finn Wolfhard in it and I will be the first to admit I‘m a BIG SISSY when it comes to scary movies! So instead of watching IT with her and the hubs I‘m listening to soothing music and starting on Smoke and Iron!!! At least I‘m here for moral support if she gets scared 😱

#audiocooking tonight, fish chowder to use the fish that thawed in my dying freezer during this past week‘s heat wave.

The heat has finally broken, and Xander‘s insistence on being pressed against me isn‘t quite so oppressive. A bit of audiobook time on the porch before emptying the refrigerator/freezer for which this hot week has been a fatal one.

Whew. That was quite the ride. I loved that there were different perspectives, different voices. That, combined with a fast paced narrative, massive amounts of intrigue, and more adventure than you can count, make this an excellent addition. One more book to come. I‘ll be sad to see this series end, but that‘s what rereading is for. Now, I want to know who everyone‘s favorite characters are; I‘m a huge Wolfe and Santi fan. And Khalila.

So much has already happened and so much still to happen, and less than 100 pages left? Aaaaagggggghhhhhh. I can‘t read fast enough!

My precious! Choosing this over fireworks tonight. I‘m happy with my choice. 😊
