pickA couple months ago I started this series and it just didn‘t hook me. I put this book down 50 pages in and said I would come back to it one day hopefully. I am so glad that I picked it back up. I am hooked. I need to know who wins the crown. This book was action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what will happen next. Can‘t wait to start the next book tomorrow!

pickAn excellent addition to the series! I‘ve been reading since the first book cake out in 2016, and I‘m lucky to say Ms. Blake is not one to disappoint. Full of well developed female characters and riveting plot that will keep anyone entertained.
pickMore twists, more turns, and one more book in the series to go! One queen won the battle but definitely not the war - undead queens, living earth, curses, and a rebel army comes for Katharine. I‘m happy this book revolves around bonds among girls, and while there are some love aspects there, the boys don‘t make/break/define/confuse the girls. The women are strong and with a good sense of self that all young girls need.

At last, this book is more along the lines of what I expected from the first two. Less focus on romance & more on the struggle for power. 4🌟

I still love Katharine, and will read the last book to find out what happens.
pickI thought it was just okay. As the third book in the quartet, I expected things to really come to a head in this one but it really didn't live up to my expectations. There wasn't much action and following Jules and Emilia took away from the queens. Still, the ending kept me hooked. I'll definitely be reading Five Dark Fates as soon as I can get my hands on a copy.

so-soLike the first 2, this is quite mediocre for me but I don't know if I'm being unfair, as this is written for young people after all. I'm reading on because I enjoy the premise of the story and I'd like to see how it ends. I just find the chapters too short and the writing structure a bit tame.

Still, the world these queens inhabit is fascinating and many of the characters are interesting. I am not a huge fan of Jules or Emilia so I‘m not loving their story but I‘m hoping for a satisfactory resolution in the 4th book. I wish there was more character development of Mirabella; she seems neglected. #queens
