I'm not even going to bother rating this one - it's TWD, and I love it. This is my second time reading it, and I've watched the show through (except the final season) every year before a new season starts. In relation to character storylines, the graphic novel has quite a few differences, but the feel is mostly the same.

I‘m sure I have a small handful of books that work for #Haunted prompt 22, the undead. I‘m going to have to give it to my husband‘s Walking Dead compendiums, though. This series is intense, and I‘d absolutely use these books to defend myself against zombies. #WhyIWouldntSurviveAZombieApocalypse #Zombies

I know I'm definitely rereading The Walking Dead since I just recently got the last volume. Discovery of Witches will also be a re-read. The others are not narrowed down yet, but ones I will be picking from. I also have a few audiobooks on hold through the library.

I'm definitely ready for October. 🎃👻

I've been sick for 2 weeks with what was discovered in the ER Tuesday to be a kidney infection. Graphic novels are perfect for my fever brain at the moment so I'm really glad I'd just picked up this hold from the library. Today is day 3 of antibiotics and the fever and headache seem to have receded, so I'll hopefully be able to take my boy outside to play finally. I've been the non-dog-walking dead all week!! :(

Finally finished this giant of 1,086 pages! Soooo good! Can‘t wait to get into the second one which is patiently waiting for me to finish the other two books I started. Completely different then the show, it twists and turns and constantly left me with a “what?!!!??” Feeling.

#Comicthon - Possibly cheating here 😜 Taking a break to play episode 5 of Telltale's The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. But as we all know, the entire Walking Dead universe is BASED ON a comic series 😉 They are good, read them if you haven't. These games are also really good. I would hardly even classify them as video games, they're more like interactive stories.

Woah. So a few things I noticed: the Governor is way more twisted and evil in the novel, though David Morrissey does a good job portraying him in the show, he is also lucky that all he lost in the show was an eye...because he lost much more in the novel. 😳 I still didn't like Lori. What moments from the novel that did make it to the show were almost scene for scene, and I really liked that. Great read!

This was a reread for me and the beginning was slow (as I knew all the characters already). The second half picked up and was very entertaining even though I knew what would happen. I probably won't read these comics for a third time ever, but I do recommend them to anyone who hasn't read them at all!

Nearly every time we watch The Walking Dead, my husband says, "I thought this show was about zombies; where are the zombies?" ? I then have to remind him that it's about the survivors more than the zombies, so it was fun to come across this page this evening where Rick is explaining that idea for me.

I started to read this because of the TV show and they were my first introduction to the comic/graphic novel world. It's an action packed story full of flawed characters that you end up loving anyways.
I haven't kept reading these and I really should, I miss this characters, specially Michonne.

Was pleasantly surprised what a treat this story was! I loved it and am really trying to wait to start the next compendium. Excellent characters, plots, ideas, and really liked the focus on humanity and its changes after the world essentially ends. Super violent, some parts of rough to read, but it is so rewarding and addictive. Cannot wait to start watching it soon.

Got this for my 22 year old son who is a reluctant reader. I think he may like this.

Loving this so far, but man is it heavy! I weighed it this morning - just a hair under 5 pounds. Not reading in bed material at all!

Here you go, @Jinjer . This is the first page of the compendium and all of the artwork is pretty similar. Some different artists throughout though. This one has 8 volumes included (48 issues). I think each volume has 6 issues. Frankly, I'd rather read it by volume but this was what my local library branch had.

With four hours of sleep in two hour shifts, I feel like a zombie. Having bad caregiving times here. Had some alone time at Starbucks and now some afternoon coffee with a little Alan Bennett and zombies. Ahhh.
