“She didn't know that some hurts were like a once-broken bone. In the right weather, they could ache for a lifetime.”
@TorieStorieS thank you so much! I am so excited to get reading. #jolabokaflodswap2023 peppermint chocolate the best!
This was a solid read. It kept me interested and rooting for the characters. The end was tied up a little too quickly with a too easy bow, but otherwise, this was enjoyable.
I love how our magic hour photos turned out!
This is the tender story of a child psychologist reeling from a tragic mistake and reluctantly trying again. #tempingtitles #withmagic

Lovely story of the resilience of children and the power of love.
A gut-wrenching story about love, loss, and redemption. Hannah writes such beautiful characters that I always fully invest in and this was no different. Beautifully told and a winner in my book!

I‘ve said this before, but I have a love/hate relationship with Kristin Hannah. I like her stories, which is why I return to her every couple of years, but her writing…ugh! Makes me eye roll every time. 🙄
Does anyone else feel this way? I feel like I‘m really in the minority here.
This was a great book! Really enjoyed it and could see it being made into a movie or tv series! Another Kristen Hannah off the TBR! 😁 3.75/5
I'm excited for a new (to me) Kristin Hannah!
I‘m surprised to say this was my first Kristin Hannah novel and it did not disappoint. Portrayal of loss and love.
This was a great story about a feral child and the small town she suddenly appears in. It was a little slow at times and both of the sisters, the main characters, are somewhat annoying initially. But, they both grow and become better versions of themselves (police chief and child psychologist) as they try to understand who the little girl is, what happened to her, and help her re-enter the human world. Well done!
Magic Hour is my pick for #1 this year.
Sadly a lot of books I read were just okay, hopefully next year is better.
I‘m in a bit a reading slump right now, I think we just have too much going on with the holidays.
66 out of my 50 goal though is not bad at all.
How‘d you guys do this year?
#goodreads
Heart wrenching, beautiful, number one book of 2021.
A young girl shows up in the town square of Rain Valley. She is quickly known as “wolf girl” but when nobody can figure out who she is, the chief of police calls in a professional. The story takes you on a magical journey and shows you the true meaning on love.
My heart was pulled out and stomped, ripped to shreds, & glued back.

This will be my first Kristin Hannah book, but one of many that have been sitting on my TBR shelf. Anyone love this one?? ☺️
Started Magic Hour today. I hope it's as good as it sounds.
Second book in two days, and one of my favorite authors! Not sure how much I‘ll actually get to read since we‘re also doing school work, hence the other books.
Although I liked The Nightingale and The Great Alone better, this was still a good book, and kept me interested. The ending seemed rushed, but an easy read overall!
#magic #tropesinaugust @Klou This Hannah book was magical in all ways.
@julesG Sorry this is a bit of chiselling – because the book above that #iSpy a butterfly 🦋 on, I don‘t own that book anymore. ☺️ I already have passed it on to the next avid reader.
(I searched all the covers on my shelves. No butterfly was to be found. 🤷🏽♀️)
Boys, girls and Littens, I have no overview who played already. So I‘m blindly picking … @Mogoeg @Lisas.Library – do you spy a cover that consists of only 2 colours❓
Even Ellie, who‘d lived here all of her life, was awed by the sudden change of weather. It was Magic Hour, the moment in time when every leaf and blade of grass seemed separate, when sunlight, burnished by the rain and softened by the coming night, gave the world an impossibly beautiful glow.
In the rugged Pacific Northwest lies the Olympic National Forest—nearly a million acres of impenetrable darkness and impossible beauty. From deep within this old growth forest, a six-year-old girl appears. Speechless and alone, she offers no clue as to her identity, no hint of her past.

This is about a 6 year old wild child that comes out of the woods with no clue to her identity. I read this book in 2012 and enjoyed it very much.
I love Kristin Hannah‘s writing style and this book did not disappoint!
Had a rough couple of days with a cold that kicked my butt. On one of my many power naps I found this sweet note from my boyfriend laying on top of my book 🥰
I have many favorite authors; there are no two alike. Although I haven‘t read all of Kristin Hannah‘s novels (11 of 23), I‘ve loved the ones I did!

LOVED it! Best read so far this year. I devoured it!
Just finished Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah. It was a good read but the ending seemed to be rushed which only left unanswered questions but overall it was a good story.
Been fighting the flu for a week now and my eyes are just now starting to feel better to read again so I am starting this book. This is my first time reading this author.
She makes it really hard to read when travelling..... #dogsoflitsy #travelreading #glammagramma We're headed to Des Moines to see and babysit the grandkiddos. My favorite weekend plans 😍
On sale today! #kindledeals #kindledeal #kindledealalert #kindle
This is one of the most emotional books I have read. The last part of the book was rough to read, I am now an emotional mess. I have just discovered Kristin Hannah, and this is only the second book of hers I have read. Does anyone have a suggestion of which book of hers I should read next?
Coffee/lunch date with my husband. It is good to be enjoying some much needed sunshine today! 🌞
Beginning the #winterstormreadathon tonight! Thanks @BookBabe and @MrBook for organizing this! Looking forward to getting through this book over the next 24 hours.
Snow is supposed to be coming this afternoon. I'm set with books, tea, cuddly cats and a blanket. Stay warm and safe everyone. Have a wonderful Saturday! 💜
Enjoyed this read. I did feel like some characters and scenes felt “thrown in” but the storyline was good and the ending was satisfying enough.
Revisiting my first (and forever favorite) Kristin Hannah book to finish out my goodreads challenge for the year.

These are all the Hannah books I've read, with more sitting in TBR. A nod and a toast 🥂 to @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks ❤️💙💖😘😘for introducing me to this wonderful writer
