After tonight‘s Agatha Christie bingo, I‘m shockingly inspired to read one of her many books.

The Pale Horse is a 2010 TV adaptation of Agatha Christie‘s Miss Marple story featuring JJ Feild. I loved it.

Listened to this short little audiobook this afternoon whilst doing some cross stitch. Her books are always so much fun ☺️
While not a Poirot book, Ariadne Oliver makes an appearance—which makes it that much better. This one had witchcraft and a bit of a romance and a fun reveal.
I never know what to expect of Christie books that don‘t have Poirot or Marple. I‘ve noticed the police are more competent in non-Poirot books. Christie uses a character to talk about mystery writing in the first part of this story, but then it goes into possible occult events. I didn‘t know before reading that this story has 3 “Witches” in it. Not her best novel, it‘s a little slow, but still a pick. 16 pts #scarathlon #teamslaughter @Clwojick
I liked it... but it was not that exciting as many other Agatha Christie books😇
4/5. Tight, constantly moving mystery that satisfied my conditions for a mystery: a twist I didn‘t see coming, an eerie atmosphere, lurking danger, and a protagonist I gave a damn about. #AgathaChristie #mystery#ThePaleHorse
There was so much potential, but this Amazon adaptation fell flat for me. And, they made the main character into a horrible person. 👎
I guess lunch is over now and I better get back to work (in other words, swap out my robe for a sweater for my next zoom meeting 😁).
Will the Amazon series be as good as the book? Stay tuned...
I already see LOTS of differences just from the trailer. I fear I might get annoyed.
It took me a little while to get into this one (not the book's fault). Once I was able to concentrate I really enjoyed this book. As usual I did not guess the murderer.

I'm having a hard time focusing, so some nice easy cozies are in order.
I've created a cozy mystery Bingo Card for the rest of the year.
My May #Bookspin picks will look very similar. @TheAromaofBooks

Wow! Look at that vintage cover! 😍🦇📙
I'm not a Christie fan, but spotting this on the charity books table in the Co-Op near my dad's house, I couldn't not chuck 50p in the collection bucket and take it away with me! 😁
Oh dear my finger slipped and I accidentally bought one of today‘s kindle daily deals. I wonder why....
Calling it a night. Fourteen hours so far for #24B42020 and my little wanted to sit together to read his “matching” book.
I adored this one.
Black magic. Macbeth‘s witches. A violent scene that made me squirm and want to hide my eyes.
There is absolutely nothing light and simple in this Christie book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Starting a new mystery. The best way to pass the time while sitting in a hotel.
This one had a super-surprise twist at the end that I had forgotten. Dame Christie delivers again!
Currently re-reading. I don‘t really get tired of Agatha Christie. Also this book hits several book challenge prompts for me. I‘m delighted that her books are finally on Scribd!
Not your typical Christie by any means. The time period is later and the setting juxtaposes the modern Chelsea/London with a bit of the traditional country. It's a wild ride with supernatural musings and possible happenings that the "grounded" narrator and "rational" reader are puzzled on just how to think. Was it murder? If so, how was it committed and by whom?
I just picked this up in a thrift shop - a Christie I don't have, yay! So far it is very different than her standard setting and characters. It is a Mrs. Oliver (who I like) but the time period is circa beatniks. No tempora mutantur, Agatha!
#17booklove #AuthorILove I absolutely ❤️ Dame Agatha Christie. This is part of my collection; three stacks deep.

Sewing and listening to a good spooky mystery!
