Geenie @SamAnne I see what‘s happening here. I was born in 88. So I somehow stumbled upon Nancy and never knew Tricia or the Boys. Hardy Boys is sounding more familiar the more I type and read it. 🤔 5y

PurpleTulipGirl Hardy Boys books were very similar to the Nancy Drew ones. It always seemed to me like they were intended for boys, while Nancy Drew was for girls, but I didn‘t care. Trixie Belden was more of the same; mysteries solved with the help of friends, set in the ‘50s and ‘60s. I identified more with her than Nancy Drew. Trixie is a tomboy and stubborn. It appealed to my misfit nature. 5y

TheAromaofBooks Great choices!! Emma isn't my favorite Austen, mainly because Emma herself annoys me haha But the story itself is great fun and there is so much wry humor throughout that I can't help but enjoy the book even when I start thinking that Emma didn't get disciplined enough as a child lol 5y

Hi 👋. As I said last week, @wordzie is my old account I was part of the #LitsyLove pen pals group, and I last received cards from a ton of littens for my birthday🎂. My mom had a heart attack two days before my birthday, and I spent the next two weeks in the hospital with her. My phone broke as well along with a snowball of other events. However, I have kept the cards, and the majority of them are unopened. I plan to read and respond to all 👇

She was further diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and I believe she could diet better, but God continues to be merciful... BookNAround I‘m so glad to hear your mom is doing well. As for the letters, if it‘s expected that you get back to people immediately, I‘m sunk. Every time I write one or two, I get that many back in so I never manage to make a dent. But I enjoy it and I figure no one‘s holding me to crazy timelines. 🙂 5y

wordslinger42 I'm so sorry to hear about your mom ❤ I will be praying for you all! And don't feel bad about being MIA; that happened to my mom ( @curiouserandcurioser ) and I as well. We fell behind because my grandma fell in November and we had full-time care of her until she passed away in January. Family always comes first 💙 And everyone in Litsy Love is is so understanding and kind 5y

Geenie @Laughterhp ummm... it might be better or more enjoyable to read them in order. Each book might also stand alone well. I‘m not exactly sure about these in particular. I‘ve read the first book of the Earthsea Trilogy and ❤️❤️❤️ it. I also have that one and the second one as well if anyone would like to read those. I had no clue The Secret Sea was a movie and idk about 20k Leagues because I have never heard of that either. 5y

Laughterhp Oh okay. I just read the Goodreads description and it mentioned 20,000 leagues under the sea. I‘d be okay with the Secret Sea, Girl from Above or the Tombs 5y
