Spent my book voucher today, should keep me busy #bookworm #TJKlune #staceyhalls #mitchalbom
In a reading slump at the minute, hoping this gets me back on track. #Austen
We received a beautiful copy of Peter Pan for Christmas and we read it for bedtime story. I had only watched the Disney film, so I was shocked by the book. Peter Pan is a horrible character my son even started cheering on Captain Hook. Don‘t even get me started on Wendy and spring cleaning! #peterpan
I read this again to check if it‘s suitable for my 8 year old. Compared to Peter Pan which we are currently reading I don‘t think he will find this too scary #harrypotter #wizards
Finished yesterday. I think I need a break from murder mystery for a while. #agathachristie #poirot
Really enjoyed this, completely got the wrong murderer. I‘ll never make detective 🕵️♀️ #Agathachristie #christie #movingfinger
The story was quite slow, really improved towards the end. I prefer the authors death in paradise novels.
Has anyone read this? I enjoyed the authors other books and love the show he wrote Death in Paradise.
I‘m halfway through but I‘m struggling to finish the book. #RobertThorogood #mysteries #deathinparadise
Excellent book. When Edie‘s ex mother in law Anna dies she is relieved. Edie blames her for the accident which destroyed her family.
Anna leaves an old abandoned villa to Edie and her ex husband in her will.
The villa holds many secrets and someone in the village is determined to drive the couple away. #Thehousebythesea #LouiseDouglas #RichardandJudybookclub
It wasn‘t a great story. Hardly any mention of Miss Marple. There was then a rush to tie up the loose ends. #agathachristie #missmarple
It was interesting idea, the 3 wicked stepmothers teaming together to reek revenge on the princesses. However the ending was too cheesy. #fairytales #amazonorginalstories #shortstories
The 3rd short story I‘ve read from the faraway collection. Two detectives investigate the murder of 5 girls nicknamed “the princesses” at a high school.
I found the style of writing difficult to read and nearly bailed a few times.#fairytales #faraway #shortstories #amazonoriginals
A re-read, it was to be the class read for my child next week. I suppose I should read it before I teach it 🤣, good job I‘m a bookworm. #roalddahl #theBFG
Hazel and Gray the 2nd book I‘ve read from the faraway collection. The books are based on fairytales, only around 30 pages long.
The story was interesting loosely based on Hansel and Gretal. #fairytales #shortstories
Oh well back into lockdown in England, escape to my books before homeschooling starts again #lockdown3 #homeschooling #readingchallenge2021
Short story free on Amazon prime. Enjoyed the story and it was well written, but I didn‘t understand the ending.
Clearly I need to brush up on my fairytales. There are other stories in the collection. #fairytales #rainbowrowell
I‘m not sure how long this has been on my bookcase. I‘m finally starting to read it today, has anyone else read it?
It was a good read a bit of cheesy escapism. I had heard about the Netflix show and the book was 99p on Amazon. I would read the next book in the series
Really enjoy the tv show, the book was funny. Lots of heart healthy meals and tips on fishing.
Only started reading Agatha Christie this year but this has been my least favourite. I thought there were too many characters it was difficult to keep track.
The story gathered pace towards the end and the conclusion was interesting but I found this book hard work.
Only just started reading Agatha Christie novels, I think this my third this year.
It has all the classics story plots, country house a number of suspects, lots of twists and turns.
I really enjoyed it.
Interesting read and bit of escapism. I‘ve learnt some new facts about one of my favourite shows
Discovered Agatha Christie. I just started this book but really enjoying it so far.
My first Christie novel. I really enjoyed it, lots of twists and turns until I finally guessed whodunnit.
I‘ve heard so much about this book and finally read it in 2 days (a record for me). I really enjoyed it.
Just finished today brilliant book. Fleetwood Shuttleworth is pregnant and mistress of Gawthorpe Hall she has already lost 3 babies when she meets Alice Gray who promises to give her a healthy baby
Loved the book. I‘ve watched the film many times but never read the book.
I think it‘s even more magical than the film. I‘ll be reading the next one in the series soon.
Re-reading this classic, feels like the right time to be reading about Armageddon.
I love the programme “Death in Paradise”, just discovered there is a book series. That‘s my weekend sorted.
I‘m about to start book 2 of 2020, has anyone else read it?
Read the book in 2 days, a real page turner. The story jumps between the 1930s and 2003, so it can be difficult to keep up. Lots of twists and cliffhangers. Great book
I was given this as birthday present over 4 years ago. Hopefully this will be the year I finally read it.
Christmas tradition, read it every year
