Henry Dresden is the only out wizard in Chicago, and while that brings lots of skepticism, it also pulls him into bizarre cases for Chicago PD. The latest is where a sex worker and a man with mob connections are found with their hearts magically ripped from their chests.
Think PI noir meets magic, demons, monsters, and misbehaving technology.

When the Harry Potter books first came out, I was in my 30s, child-free, and saw no point in reading a children‘s book, so apart from marvelling at the phenomenal success of the books, I mostly ignored them.
Now, I‘m in my 50s, still child free, and, having enjoyed the Cormorant Strike series, decided to read the first HP book, just to see what it was like…. And now I‘ve just finished book 7.
So great! Great descriptions! If you like wildcards and fantasy this is for you. Warning, you have to be committed to the series if you want to read the first one. It will leave you on a cliffhanger every time until the last book, the seventh.#jkrowling #fantasy #cliffhangerseiries #harrypotter #mustread #wizards

An amazing final piece to complete the story of Harry Potter! Lots of heartbreaking losses, but an overall happy ending! I will definitely love to read these again.

Lily, a wizard, is drawn into her witch friend Sebastian‘s plan to undo an ancient curse on an old estate, one that causes anyone who lives there misfortune and eventual death. That storyline ended with an epilogue, then a whole new story started, one in which a small town was caught in a time loop, and Lily and Sebastian have to save the town. It was just a disconnect to me and took away enjoyment from the main story.
