Repost for @Librarybelle

We‘re staying in 1924 with May‘s #ChristiesCapers . This first short story collection by Christie of course features Poirot. Discussion on May 25th!

I will post the story titles in the comments. This one should be the same in all countries, but just in case, our discussion will focus on the listed short stories. #AgathaChristieClubR3

Sace I‘ll be doing the audio book for this. End of the school year teacher brain = can‘t focus so short stories are perfect right now. 7h
Librarybelle @Sace I hope the audio is good! 7h

I am proud that I did not bail, but Poirot and Christie are not at their best in short stories. Too much dialogue, too minor of cases, and too quick of resolutions made each story in here a bigger bore than the first. I‘ll read Book 4, but only after a break to cleanse my pallet.

Maybe not one of my favorites, but not entirely disappointing either. Just needed a little Poirot in my life!

Ah Hastings. We meet again. This was a reread but I didn‘t remember much of the story before going back into it. Entertaining mystery though Hastings really annoys me. Can‘t wait for the next Poirot! #ChristiesCapers

I love Poirot. I loved the mystery. I loathed all the other characters. Wednesday, my reading buddy, pictured, enjoyed Sunday reading cuddles.
