This book took me by surprise. I absolutely loved Tyler and felt for him. It was obvious from early on that he was not where he was meant to be. Then he meets his soul mate and you know there will be consequences. Though I don't condone their actions, I still sympathize with the characters. I love when an author makes me feel so much. Great story.
A cute pink iguana is this witch‘s familiar and along with a host of witches and warlocks, they set out to solve the murder of a former classmate at a class reunion. The story sets out strong, but the writing starts to get muddled halfway through. There are gaps in logic and a few sentences I couldn‘t comprehend, as if the editor threw up her hands and said enough! I‘m not reading any more! So lots of potential but lack of follow through. ⬇️
This was adorable! I liked the use of the “they” pronoun, so it‘s a new intro for kids on pronoun use. Beyond that, this is a great book of reaching one‘s goals and the support of family and friends and being oneself. #PictureBook #LetterP #BBRC
A beautifully illustrated #PictureBook biography that tells the story of Pura Belpre, the first Puerto Rican librarian at the NYPL. I loved the incorporation of Spanish into the English narrative. She sounds like she was a remarkable woman who brought her stories and culture to children around the world. #BBRC #LetterP
