I didn‘t put two and two together that this is the same author as my current read ( We Keep The Dead Close). I love this slim volume - Cooper asked people to map their city on pre printed outlines. It‘s fascinating to see people a relationship with their space.
pickSuch a gorgeous book, I felt so privileged reading Joni Mitchell‘s lyrics and poems in facsimiles of her handwriting and so many of her paintings on luscious thick art paper. A beautiful book, occasionally a challenge to read cause she does some very odd capital letters, but I was always awestruck by her mind as I was reading.
🐚 I bought the tagged book at Land‘s End (SF)overlooking the ocean and one of the first pages I flipped to is a sketch of the ocean, the horizon, and the Land‘s End Rocks with the text, “That‘s it, breathe. Just take it slow,” which is something the ocean always seems to be saying to me.
