#Naturalitsy #HyggeHourReadathon

Spending my #HyggeHour reading the tagged book for #ChildrensclassicRead2025 & since that won‘t take long, I‘m going to read The Answer Is No from @JacqMac ‘s #AuldLangSpine list on my Kindle. Noshing on dried cinnamon Fuji apples & drinking apple chai tea.

I‘m so not ready for another crazy work week & the general crazy that will happen starting Monday. 😵‍💫

This was my favorite fairy tale as a kid because of Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. I watched her production of The Twelve Dancing Princesses countless times. I was so excited to find it on youtube:

I included a couple retellings in my photo. I'm reading Salt and Sorrows as a companion read. Kingfisher was from a few years ago.

I‘m planning to go to the library to find the Grimm‘s Brothers version, but here are three versions I‘m reading of our #ChildrensClassicRead2025 book for January

TheBookHippie Fun!!! 3w
lil1inblue Gorgeous covers! 🤩 3w
tpixie @lil1inblue yes! I was excited to find them! The blue one is a YA/ adult novella - a prequel to a fairy series - Crowns of the Fae series 3w

I‘m getting an early start on my Litsy required reading for the month. I‘ve never read this one before. It‘s interesting and did not end the way I expected it to. Thanks for organizing @TheBookHippie ! 4⭐️

I saw @Amiable posted her favourite reads from past #AuldLangSpine matches, and I love the idea! As I look forward to reading from @CarolynM's list in 2025, here are my faves from my past awesome matches:

@MeganAnn - The Girls at the Kingfisher Club (historical fiction meets fairy tale retelling at its finest)

@sprainedbrain - Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine

@monalyisha - World of Wonders (so good I've read it twice now!)

Cont'd

TheKidUpstairs @Chelsea.Poole - Unlikely Animals (give me a Greek chorus of ghosts and theatre gone wrong any day of the week!)

@Sapphire - Fault Lines (a total surprise hit for me)

MeganAnn What a fun idea! The Girls at the Kingfisher Club remains one of my favorite retellings. And Fault Lines was SO good too! It made my list of 2022 favorites. I definitely need to move Unlikely Animals and World of Wonders up my TBR. 1mo
TheBookHippie World of Wonders is amazing! 1mo

TheKidUpstairs @Christine I haven't read Rabbit Cake, but that new one sounds so good!!! 1mo
Chelsea.Poole I love this idea! What hashtag are we using? 1mo
TheKidUpstairs @Chelsea.Poole I just used the #AuldLangSpine tag, didn't even think of creating a separate one! 1mo
TheKidUpstairs @Christine you inspired me to look for Rabbit Cake and the audio was available on Libby. I just started it this morning and am absolutely loving it! 1mo
Christine Oh yay, so glad you‘re loving it!! 🐰🍰❤️ 1mo
