pickCharlie works as a dishwasher in the noodle restaurant where her dad works but wants more, so she applies for a receptionist job at a dance studio. She never expects where this will end up taking her. This novel has obvious plot points and was too romance focused for my personal taste, but I enjoyed it. It shows the pull between current and traditional expectations well.
They pulled him into the circle with them and danced slowly, so he could follow their steps. Even so, Azalea felt a warmth flicker within her. It was the best dance that had ever done.

In 2010/11 I mentored a young mom who was terrified of peacocks like a phobia even pictures of them. She was light and full of laughter and had a fun sense of humor. She knew I loved peacocks and would gift me things but say don‘t open it I don‘t want to freak out. I love her as my child as I‘d mentored her her entire childhood. She died in childbirth January 19, 2011⬇️
pick4✨This book has been on my TBR forever! It is a retelling from the twelve dancing princesses. I‘m going to be honest I never heard of that German made fairy tale, but I‘ll be reading it soon. 12 princess sisters in this retelling are cursed to dance every night for the Stone King with his 12 sons. Naturally, their kingdom is under a spell where they can‘t help, and any prince that tries does! I love fairy tale retellings so this was awesome! 😍

pickThis was just the right side of charming for my frazzled brain. I love this author‘s style (she‘s Ann Patchett‘s mother and it shows in her insightful descriptions). It is fun and easy to read but never so sweet it made me roll my eyes. A dance teacher, looking forward to retirement, has her sister move in and her grown up children getting up to mischief. A comforting, easy read.
