Day 92 #afterMaria — finally, signs of progress on the power front. A crew is working on the power line next door! We‘ve had power for only 12 hours since Sept 6 when Irma hit. Fingers crossed!

Day 87 #AfterMaria — Still no power. Out of the house early for breakfast and a/c. Thank you, Littens, for all the love!
Day 84 #AfterMaria — still no power or internet at home. Back on generator power at school, as service here went down (again) yesterday afternoon. It doesn‘t feel like Christmas. It feels overwhelming. 😔
Day 69 #AfterMaria - Still no power. Headed back to work after Thanksgiving Recess. Have a good day, Littens!
Thank you so much, @britt_brooke , for the lovely #LitsyPenPals package! Both @WanderingBookaneer and I have wanted to read this book for a while. And the cat goodies really made me smile! You‘ve really lifted my spirits on this 67th day #AfterMaria (still no power 🤷🏻♀️). 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Day 64 #AfterMaria - Still waiting for power to return. Still waiting for a return to normal. Yes, a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks helps. 🧙🏻♀️
Day 63 #AfterMaria — Still no power at home, but here‘s a cute pic of #YetiCat to make you smile.
Day 61 #AfterMaria - Flash flood warnings again as it continues to rain. Power back down in many previously recovered areas. It‘s very disheartening. Plus the damp grayness doesn‘t help. We‘re venturing out soon for a Starbucks run at our neighborhood shopping strip. 🤞🏼it will help.
Day 60 #AfterMaria - feeling better after 2 sick days, so I ventured out for some coffee and bookish love at happy place #thebookmarkpr - if you‘ve been keeping track in the news, major power outages this week again in PR, which affected school but not our house (since we haven‘t had power at all). My mother still hasn‘t had power restored since a transformer explosion a week ago (and she lives in Condado, a major tourist area). Sigh.
Day 56 #AfterMaria and Chili‘s in Dorado, Puerto Rico requires payment only in cash or money order. Yes, money order. Not check, MONEY ORDER. (That‘s because PR consumer protection law requires businesses to have 2 valid methods of payment... way to stick to the letter while killing the spirit of the law, Chili‘s)
