For this week‘s #hyggehour , I read North Woods. Purely a #blameitonlitsy book. I‘m loving it. So unique & original.

It felt good to turn off life for a bit…my mental health has not been strong this past week. This was a good reset moment, & I plan to listen to a session on the Calm app later tonight.

Admittedly, this took me several chapters to follow the writing style - I‘m way better at 18th & 19th century classics, not early 20th century! But, once I did, I found this an intriguing study on the class system in Edwardian England. Many of the characters are horrid, & I was not really a fan of Lucy, though she received the brunt of all of the clashes. I‘m glad I read this! #PemberLittens #HashtagBrigade

I am LOVING this book so far…so good to read the latest installment featuring Aaron Falk. Officially released in the US on January 31st.

2. Very low key. Try to finish more books to clear the reading slate for 2023. Some baking, since I could not do it for Christmas. And, probably go to sleep before midnight - I am not a night owl!

If you‘re looking for a book that follows the spiritualism of just Lincoln and JW Booth, you‘re not really going to find it here. If, instead, you are interested in reading about the influence of spiritualism on the Lincoln family and the Booth family, as well friends, then this is the book for you. Some of the stories I knew from other readings; others I did not. Overall, I was fascinated by Alford‘s examination of the beliefs ⬇️⬇️⬇️
