#LibraryStory! 1 of my responsibilities is getting current magazines into circulation, & I receive them from a colleague who initially processes them. She said the number of issues from her will never end, hah hah hah! So, I said, like The Song That Doesn't End, & then spoke the lyrics 1 time through. I asked others if they know it, they said no, and I repeated the lyrics over & over. Now the song's stuck in her head 😂👏🏻. #LitsyLovesLibraries
This was most of the journey home from the library. No plowing done, steep and curvy roads, 6 inches of snow, drifts galore, and accidents everywhere. Would this qualify as a #librarystory 🤔? While I don't want to drive in this weather, I did learn to drive in these conditions and I've been through a helluva lot worse than this. I worked the Circ Desk today. After waiting in line, an elderly woman came up to the desk (her husband lingered behind) & said loudly, "I need to find something sensual." I went ? *blink blink*. Everyone's watching me. I said, "Umm, I...think you might have come to the wrong place and asked the wrong guy." Everyone laughed, whew! An older couple came up to the Circ Desk to check out some books. When I asked if they wanted a bag, the woman said she has her own. She laid this out on the desk. Well...I'll be ?! I said, "I know the guys who run that business. One of the best darn businesses I've ever had the pleasure to shop from!" They said a family member bought it for them. I made a regular sweep of the floor today as happens every half-hour or so. As I was approaching the Reference Desk, my colleague on shift, it's the Director today, noticed I had a fist full of something.
Director: Oh, what have you got there?
Me: Oh, somebody left their nuts lying around.

Me: *opens hand* Cashews. How does one drop so many darn cashews?
