pickQuick, enjoyable read. After finishing, I read the author‘s note about the inspiration behind the story. I would like to learn more about Catharism, a medieval Christian heresy prevalent during the fourteenth century. If you‘re a fan of history, unrequited love, and ghost stories this will be a delicious read. Also, a perfect winter themed book, with the atmosphere and setting.

pickLove Love Love! I'm a sucker for medieval historical fiction, so throw some fabulous fantasy in and I'm in my element. Superbly composed, with clear credible characters, a wonderfully intricate plotline with stunning scenery and its a winner. I'd give it 6 stars!

pickI read this book a while back and absolutely loved it. It's completely different to anything I had read before and I have to admit it was a cover buy but it was so engaging and had me guessing all the way through. I have now given it to my mum to read and I've inspired her with all the photos I've been taking! I made the bookmark for her, and the candle was a gift I sent her to cheer her up.
