I liked the story and the characters but for some reason I had a hard time connecting to the characters/relationship. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was in the mood for some cozy romance. Great fit for it
My least favourite Tessa Bailey book by far.
Bland characters, cringey dialogue, and a boring storyline. I won't be reading the sequel!
Munches is not feeling well, cold with a lot of congestion = clingy. I was able to get this one read and really enjoyed it. Fun and flirty. Great portrayal of anxiety. Now to get caught back up on my chapter a days. 👀
This is my least favorite Tessa Bailey book I‘ve read. It was light & fun but parts just seemed juvenile and rushed. I usually fly through these types of books on audio but this took me a week. I just never really got hooked.

First, I keep phasing out because nothing is happening. Second, Hallie, 30 & a sm. biz owner, is irritating & juvenile. One example (of many): when Uncorked manager insulted Lorna, Hallie cuts in front of customers & steals cheese. Like a rebellious teenager.
Despite what sounded like a cute premise, I just can't. DNF at 31%. While I like “It Happened One Summer”, this is my 5th Tessa Bailey book but the 3rd I've DNF, so it will also be my last.
Tagged book.
I‘d be a gardener/landscaper. That would be a disaster since I have the farthest thing from a green thumb.
I sleep with socks on then kick them off in the middle of the night.
What‘s yours?
The incomparable @indiaro surprised me with this on audiobook because I had a shitty cold last week - nothing serious just a dreadful sinus headache and needing to sleep all the time for a few days - and she knew exactly what would fix me. I‘m really enjoying this, like it‘s very similar to her other books but what‘s not to like about a rom com set between warring wine shops
I adored Secretly Yours by Tessa Bailey but I thought the storyline was just a little rushed and unrealistic.
This was a quick summer read. I liked the anxiety rep and the fact that Hallie as the female lead is maybe not the traditional tall, lithe heroine, but she‘s confident of her body. Julian was very emotional and passionate, and I love the way he is a protector of those he cares for.
There were parts I really liked, but I did have to push myself to finally finish it. I‘ve been hella busy and mentally and emotionally exhausted from work and it took me a month to finish. I don‘t entirely want to hold it against Secretly Yours but also that‘s a super extra long time for a contemporary romance for me.
Bailing on this one simply because it‘s just a predictable trope fest and problematic rep. Grumpy/sunshine, struggling business, manic pixie dream girl, struggling writer/professor. I also am not liking the anxiety representation, it may be trying to be positive but it is coming off as making fun of the character‘s anxiety. No thanks.
3.5 rounded up, unheard of for me but I just didn't enjoy the last third 😫 and while I think it was supposed to be body positive... it just didn't sit right with me. Maybe it was the over and repeated emphasis on Hallie having curves and being full figured? It felt more like a required prompt in a writing class than a rom-com experience. Open door romance × grumpy/sunshine × second chance.
I‘ve never been into romance novels before…but I guess there‘s a first for everything! I‘m really enjoying this one so far!
Breezed right through this and now I can't wait for the next book!
While I enjoyed large chunks of this rom-com book, some of the 'dirty talk' felt a little corny. I also thought the bit about the secret admirer letters was almost unnecessary to the plot line. I did, however, appreciate that the heroine had realistic curves and loved her chaotic character. In spite of my quibbles the book was a mostly fun, light and spicy read and sure to bring enjoyment to many rom-com fans. 3.5/5 stars.
So funny, sweet, medium spice. This had me grinning from ear to ear! Maybe not my favorite of hers, but a great romcom to escape into and the Napa setting and cast of quirky characters makes it all the more fun. Releases February 7th and the Target edition will have a bonus chapter with the couple from It Happened One Summer so I‘ll need to own that for sure! First read of February! #arc #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #romantsy
There is not secret how much readers will love this book! A sweet treat of hope that only unrequited love can give, sprinkled with a second chance encounter, and a gooey center of grumpy vs sunshine will leave you wanting more.

Did I absolutely rip through this book? Yes. Was I also a little nonplussed by the way the drama went from 0 to 100 at the end? Also yes. But maybe I just prefer books where the characters actually make attempts to change before the last couple of chapters. The sex was hot, though! #contemporaryromance
Y‘all seriously this was a legitimate laugh out loud book from the first page. I loved these characters and I loved the spicy and the storyline. This author is officially on my favorite author list. I‘m excited for romance lovers to get their hands on this one next year when it comes out! #LittensLoveRomance
