Read on my kindle - it was my nighttime read for quite sometime. It‘s about a little stuffed pig & a boy who end up on a magical adventure together on Christmas Eve. It was a solid, cute read. However I felt it was a little long for the age range it‘s geared toward. 4 ⭐️

4✨There was a lot going on in this book. A boys special toy pig is lost because of the actions of another. This brings him to the land of the lost to try to find him and bring him home. Gotta admit everything I lose now I‘m desperate to find! I cried quite a few times! Last book of 2022, now I‘m caught up 😅

My reads for tonight 🎄📚 A couple Christmasy reads and the last book in an Alice retelling series that I've really been enjoying!

Halloween has past, so Christmas books are fair game, right? This story is one big crazy magical adventure of a boy searching for his toy. The talking toys give major Toy Story vibes. Lots of feels- starts off sad, several scares along the way(on the same level as most Disney movies), but in the end love conquers all.

I read The Christmas Pig to my 7yr old. We loved the beginning but got bogged down in the middle. The story got a bit too abstract for her to follow along.

I loved this book. It was a fun way to look at loss of important things and things that are so so to us in life.

This book was SO good. I really hope this gets made into a movie because I could see it perfectly in my head as I read it. Book 1 of 2022

Cute story. Worth having in your library if you collect her other books. 🐷

I hate the Rowling has doubled down on her TERF stance, but this book is like a Christmas Velveteen Rabbit meets the Island of the Misfit Toys, and it's sweet and magical and the audio is performed so well. And every time I read her books now, I make a donation to Trans Lifeline.

I really didn't know what to expect going into this book. I honestly didn't think it sounded that interesting. Yet, after finishing it, I thought it was a really good book. There were a lot of meaningful moments, a lot of truth, and even some really sad moments. I loved it. I really am astounded by how symbolic a lot of the story was. It was well thought through and showed great imagination.

I really wasn‘t expecting to like this book but I did. It was a super cute story that had a lot of good nuggets of wisdom in it.

She's about 8 months old now, and still loves being read to! 😹❤📖 #catsoflitsy #littenkitten #rumpel

Such a cute story about a boy and his toy, Dur Pig. When the Dur Pig is lost on Christmas Eve another toy the Christmas Pig tells the boy that there is a way to get Dur Pig back. And of to an adventure they go.

Yesterday was an apple streusel tea and finishing The Christmas Pig.

Today was Cacao tea and Christmas Magic. There‘s a kitten and a puppy on the cover….how could it not be good?

🎧📚 I enjoyed this children‘s book. The summary says it all!

Jack is a little boy with a favorite Pig stuffy with beans in his tummy named Dur Pig, DP for short.

Jack‘s family life changes and he has to deal with an unreasonable step-sibling. Chaos rules. Choices need to be made.

Reminiscent of Rudolf‘s island of misfit toys & Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

A touching story if not a little scary for the young or easily scared.

The Christmas Pig has got to be one of the most charming, heart-warming Christmas books that I've ever read. Highly recommend (along with all these children's Christmas reads!)

Every year I usually put together a stack of holiday books to read between Thanksgiving and Christmas but there are a few other books this year that I really want to get to and finish before the start of the new year, so this time around I think I'm going to just stick with two of my absolute FAVORITE holiday reads and one brand new one! I'm also going to reread A Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve as per my tradition! 😁💕📚

The Christmas pig has a RRP of £20 but Amazon has it on offer to pre order at £10 or less. I've reserved a copy as my Grandson wanted it for his birthday in November.
