“ the only thing dragons love more than parties or tacos, is taco parties (taco parties, or parties with lots of tacos).
This is a super funny read-aloud story that kids of most ages would enjoy!
Dragons Love Tacos is a silly story that will have everyone in the classroom laughing. The illustrations are super fun and colorful and help add to the creative and funny story.
A reread for me, but never reviewed on Litsy. I can‘t believe I never noticed the date of the Taco Party was 11/23 which just so happened to fall on a Tuesday this year. What a missed opportunity 😂 🌮 #WinterGames #TeamGameSleighers #WinterGames2021 #Adventathon #WrapItUpReadathon #BookSpinBingo

Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin. Funny LF book! Very interesting and would definitely get students interested. #UCFLAE3414SP21 Winner of the Young Readers Choice Award! This site has great games and activities related to the book. https://www.nbp.org/ic/nbp/programs/gep/dragon/ge_dragonmain.html
Who would have guessed? Dragons Love Parties…. Dragons Love Tacos…Dragons Hate Spicy Salsa! Unfortunately, an oversight resulted in spicy salsa being given to the dragons and the building being burnt down! Young ones will love the silly nature and cute drawings of the dragons.

Dragons Love Tacos is an award-winning MF picture book by Adam Rubin with fun illustrations by Daniel Salmieri. Bottom line: Dragons may love tacos, but they HATE spicy salsa. If you host a taco party for dragons and serve spicy salsa, well… you‘ll see! This would be a hysterical RA perfect for extension activities for ELA and art integration. Great ideas here:

This F book is so sweet. It is about dragons and how much they love tacos but it is important to not give them any spicy salsa. If the dragons have any spicy salsa they shoot sparkles and smoke comes out of their ears. I think this book would be a great reenactment within the class for students to demonstrate. This book won the Young Readers Choice Award.
I love this shirt on Shirt Punch!! I will have a lot more time to window shop online since I was laid off today. My previous company decided instead of closing down they would lay off everyone but 4 people to run the whole 20+ people office, makes a lot of sense to me too. I‘m very fortunate however to have my husbands job that will cover our bills and is such a large company there is no threat of layoffs or shut downs. Yay for more reading time!
Dragons love all kinds of tacos, so if you are looking to throw a party for dragons, you better buy tacos!
Just be careful what kind of salsa you get...
Love this book so much! I have yet to teach a child who does not love this story as well. Great storyline, illustrations, and it is just a fun book!
I would use this book in my classroom because it is a great laugh for the kids. It is a funny read-aloud and will make the class laugh, feel calm, and not stress. It is a good book to read at the end of the day before they go home.
This is an award-winning book. This book is about how dragons love tacos and if you want dragons at your party, you must have tacos! But if they eat a spicy taco, it is bad! This book is super cute and funny and perfectly depicts an award-winning children's book because of it's funny, perfect tale of a good snack and funny animals!
#ucfLAE3414f19 Dragons love tacos is a fun and silly book the kids of younger elementary grades will enjoy. This book is about how all different creatures love tacos, and if you want them to come to your party, invite them with tacos! Adam Rubin is notorious for his fun and silly books like “Secret Pizza Party” and “Those Darn Squirrells”
Happy belated #bookloversday from the bookshelf critters in my office!
I did a small dragon storytime today at library outreach this morning! Dragons + library = PURE AWESOMENESS! 😁🐉💕📚
1. I mean, who doesn‘t love tacos?
2. Both! (No joke, I have a student who can‘t wait to turn 18 so he can get a Cheeto tattoo 🤣)
3. Sunrise
4. Pay bills ☹️
5. Elementary was rough but my favorite teacher was in 3rd grade.

I remembered I have Libby and decided to scroll through tonight.
This book is super adorable and if my nephew, who is 3 and once called himself a taco boy while eating tacos, doesn‘t have this he needs it ASAP! Even the end papers are adorable on this book.
I did end up going for a walk today, after-all. Granted, it was to attend Food Truck Friday, where I ate a bunch of tacos & drank a bunch of beer...but I still walked there! 😆 This is a shot of the pond near our house, taken on our walk home.
1/4 walks this week down. 🙌🏻

Now I‘m in bed, about to start reading “To Night Owl from Dogfish.” I‘ve been getting progressively grumpier all week. It‘s time to relax, hardcore. 😴📚
if you want to lure a brunch with a dragon to your party you should definitely serve tacos. this is a fun silly book for student to ready about dragons who love tacos .
Meant to share this yesterday- check out my Library bulletin board for School Library Month (April:) 🎉🙃Needless to say I was craving tacos by the end of this piece. 🌮 🥬 🍅 🥑 #LettuceTalkAboutBooks #NachoOrdinaryLibrary #WillReadForTacos #LetsQuacAndRoll
Dragons Love Tacos, written by Adam Rubin and illustrated by Daniel Salmieri is a funny MF book. It‘s a New York Times bestseller! It would be great for S or IR. Dragons LOVE tacos, who doesn‘t? But remember....if you don‘t keep the toppings mild you‘re in for some red-hot trouble! Storytelling this book would be fun for students, after you could even have a taco class party! This link will bring you to a website with different activities to go
Celebrated my niece's 7th birthday this evening with a book themed party! She picked her party food from some of her favorite books, and this was one of many.
Super cute, and proof positive that everyone loves tacos.
I actively sought out a challenge that I could accomplish and found this one! I need something to do over my 6 week long winter break. Feel free to share with friends and tag them if you challenge them! #bookchallenge #30days

Both of my boys have soccer matches today, so we‘re loaded down with books in case the son spectating gets antsy. 😆 #readeverywhere #raisingreaders
I saw this poster when I had my babies at the library on Friday, and I HAD to share it here! Literally two of my favorite things tacos and books! #tacos #books #booktacos 🌮 📚
