Second book in the series. Still enjoying it so far. I‘ll have to pick up the next one from the library. I like the easy read after a long work day

My daughter & I finished Book 2 in April. She said this one is her favorite book so far (& keeps asking if Tyson will show up in the next books). Probably my favorite thing is to have a story centered around a main character with ADHD (& Dyslexia). All my kids have ADHD, so it‘s so great for them to hear a story about a character that has struggles like they do. Representation of disabilities matters. #bookspin
Listening to something easy on my audiowalk tonight. Last weekend I was wearing fleece and now there are buttercups. Made me smile after a long week.
Fun follow up to first book {I am reading the series this year}. You know the drill. Greek myths reimagined and retold YA style. No romance which I appreciate. Overarching story line in the series so far but each book stands alone.
A friend recommended the second series. I am hoping not to get sucked into the universe... too many books to follow but so far it looks like a possibility
I loved this book! It‘s even better than the previous one, and I really hope this saga only gets better and better. It had me laughing, and gasping, and passing the pages not wanting to stop. In fact, when I wasn‘t reading, I was thinking that I wanted to go back to it! I love when a book does that.

I can‘t believe season one is already over! Can‘t wait for season two to come out!!!!!!
This was a reading challenge read and I have to say it was clever and funny and full of heart and educational all at the same time. Although written for kids this is another series I feel adults would find entertaining as well.
Percy‘s best friend is missing and he must embark on a quest to save him. Camp-Half Blood is at risk and he must steal The Golden Fleece from a Cyclops. Percy has to choose between his friend or the world. If you like books that focus on character interactions and relationships then you‘ll love the second entry in a great series.
I actually preferred reading over listening... but my library only had the audiobook.
I totally get why people love this book and this series.

I love the book! It's better detailed than the film was. I love how Percy has a lot of character development and learns to love his "imperfect" new friend!
Grover's voice was already growing fainter. "Sweet dreams. Don't let me die!"
Another pick for the series. Once again I never read these as a young kid and decided to pick them up for easy reading and have been enjoying the lighter take on some epic adventures! Ended on a surprising note so onward to book three!
I finished the second Percy Jackson book yesterday - another wild and slightly ridiculous romp of an adventure. I appreciate that this is a self-contained story but still builds towards what is obviously going to be the grand finale at the end of the series. These aren't my new favorite books, but I am enjoying them.

Love that this question was proposed in this book. The irony that it‘s asked by the god Hermes to question if his true story needed a lesson to come from it makes it even better.
One of my favorite things about Rick Riordan‘s style is how he sprinkles humorous lines throughout the novel. It helps break up all the action and impending-doom-of-the-world plot lines. I remember as a kid thinking these books were funny, too. Maybe it‘s because I cry a lot, but I appreciate a book that can make me laugh out loud while reading more than one that has me crying.
⭐️3.7/5
THE SEA OF MONSTERS is the second book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. You‘ll hear me say it over and over, but the voice in these books is engaging, witty and perfect for an action packed Middle Grade book. Not as great as the first book, but still had great character development and I love all the obscure mythology Riordan brings in.
Am I crazy or is that not right??? 🤨
Another fun, exciting, quick read. These stories are bright and a wonderful reimagining of the Greek gods. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Road trip with a book! Really enjoying the second part of the series so far. 🙃

Percy Jackson & the Olympians book 2 The Sea of Monsters. Driving back home today... I miss my dogs so bad! 🖤🌊💦💧💙
Another book, another side kick. I loved Tyson, though! I also like how the relationship between Percy and Annabeth is settling. The Bermuda triangle - Sea of Monsters-link is very well thought of. Overall, I am amazed by the way Greek Mythology is coming out as American culture. The connections are marvellous. I almost feel like a halfblood myself!
“We only came close to dying six or seven times, which I thought was pretty good.”
Just another day in the life of Percy Jackson and friends 😂🤣
I'm still reading this book and wow, it's really detailed and I can picture whats happening in my head, oops, let's start at the beginning. My sister got a box of Percy Jackson books and she said that they were very interesting and they were about 3 people who are always on dangerous quests. This book (so far) is about the three friends, on a quest to find something called the golden fleece.

Tyson is one of my favorite #Mythical characters in the Percy Jackson books.
My audio and one ebook stack for the readathon. Can‘t wait to listen to some of these today! ❤️ #deweysapril2021 #readathon @deweysreadathon
In this book Percy Jackson was just living his normal life with his normal mom but him on the other hand is a demigod which means he is half god and half human. Anyway, he is just about to get through the last day of school when something goes terribly wrong.
I think this is a great book to read and would recommend this book to any fantasy readers that enjoy a great book.
4/5 for this one! This one was bit slow at first then I couldn‘t put it down. I loved Tyson so much! This book was filled with lots of action. The story was very interesting. I will be continuing the series.
Funny thing last night: before finishing Sea of Monsters, I decided to watch the docu-series On Pointe. And this part right here, just look at the books😹 Take that for coincidence!
Families are messy. Immortal families are eternally messy. Sometimes the best we can do is to remind each other that we're related for better or for worse...and try to keep the maiming and killing to a minimum..

This is a good addition to the Percy Jackson series with the main storyline echoing that of Jason and the Argonauts. Having just listened to Fry‘s retelling in Mythos, I can appreciate the similarities and enjoy the way Riordan weaves the traditional myths and the modern day story together. Again, both girls found this enjoyable.
Freja and Butcher listening to Percy Jackson (I‘m reading it to them - well mostly Freja). This was a couple of days ago, but we only have one chapter left! I‘m thinking our next read aloud will be classic Nancy Drew, which I desperately want her to love as much as I do. I‘m excited to finish this one tomorrow!
Much prefer this to the first in the series, despite the slurs.
Starting the next in the series with a little friend. Fuzzbutt is snoring loudly
I liked the first book better but still really good! Again the movie was just awful and was nothing like the book.
Another good story from Percy Jackson series. I enjoy getting to know the characters and look forward to more. The stories are such a creative blend of things like the United States and Greek mythology.
Taking a quick break from my normal reads for the second installment of this fun series. I'm very slowly going through big fantasy series like this that I missed when I was a kid.

Solid follow-up to The Lightning Thief. Once again, Percy and friends (old and new) decipher the oracle's message, go on a quest, and (temporarily, at least) save the day.
