5✨I found this one really hard to put down. Colfer has a gift for storytelling with this one. The twins need to recruit more characters for their army against their enemies. What better way to do that than Conner‘s own short stories. Honestly I love the idea of these stories. What I don‘t like is Colfer‘s writing style. This could have used about 100 pages less and Colfer‘s attempt at humor is eye rolling even for middle grade. I could skip an entire page and he‘d still be talking about the same thing. I‘ll read the last one because I‘ve already come this far but it will probably be much the same. Good for my #bookspinbingo though!

My current read with little ones swinging. It‘s getting colder and soon we will be stuck inside. Avi the one is pink has a tendency to swing as high as possible and my feet hold the bars down. 🤣
Colfer has a fun world but he‘s a bit too wordy for a middle school book imo.

Why'd I choose this book? Well, my class went to the library to pick out a book and while I was looking over the shelf the book cover caught my eye. So, I picked out the book and read the summary and so I thought it was pretty interesting, and took it out and read it :)

This penultimate book makes me want to pick up the last one immediately! More than anything, I feel like An Author‘s Odyssey gives an inspiring message to children to believe in themselves despite others‘ doubts. I loved the exploration of a young boy‘s first foray into his imagination and the creativity and storytelling that resulted.

Now on the third book in the Land of Stories series. This is a great set of books about a brother and sister who find themselves in the land where fairy tails come from, but time has moved on and the different princes and princesses are adults with responsibilities and families. In each book the kids must help them overcome some kind of evil.

This was another fun audiobook. Seriously they are so entertaining. The adventures of the characters we have come to know and love just keep getting more intense. Great characters and storyline. Colfer has a wonderfully creative mind. One more to go in the series. I am now a book ahead of my fifth grade reading buddy.

This book can complete my Land Of Stories Collection ! But , no luck finding it ... yet 😢

I‘ve read the previous books so I feel as if I need to finish the series. I like this series for young readers. Colfer puts in references for us adults reading and so I can enjoy that part of these stories. This time Connor and Alex travel into stories written by Connor to put together an army to help save the Fairytale Kingdom.

Another fun listen! The characters in this series are so entertaining, though the writing is a bit basic. I feel like these books would make a fun TV show or movie. Also, almost every book ends on a cliffhanger, so it keeps the action moving through the whole series.

It took me a while to get into this one but, thanks to downloading the audiobook, I soon flew through it.

We finished this audiobook on the mini road trip last night. The whole crew (14, 11, & 10) was into the whole book. It's been our car listen for a bit. But then the ending came... ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Me and my monsters went through the drive through (don't judge) per their request.

So we can eat in the car and keep listening to our Awesome #audiobook (s)!!

This is the latest in the wonderful Land of Stories series. Chris Colfer narrates and we listen! Finding books that work for all ages isn't always easy so this is a definite win!

#FunFridayPhoto - a middle grade book you love. I started The Land of Stories in audio at the recommendation of a middle school librarian friend, and it's quickly become a favorite series of mine. Book 5 is the most creative of the Bailey twins' adventures to date (and the funniest, too) as they step into Connor's short stories to recruit an army of cyborgs, superheroes, mummies, and badass lady pirates to defend the fairy tale world from evil.

Day 6: full of adventure. This fun middle-grade series in which two twins literally step into a book and wind up in the fairy tale world has been full of adventure from the start, but this latest volume (my current audiobook) manages to be even more so with the addition of superheroes, cyborgs, and a gang of lady pirates (including the previously mentioned Big Booty Bertha). @RealLifeReading #booktober

I love this quote. On an unrelated note, can someone please explain why in the name of all that is holy this middle grade fairy tale book has a character named Big Booty Bertha??? 😳😂

Such a great read.... It is such a new and refreshing spin on the characters that we have known and loved most of our lives. I look forward to every summer when a new installment comes out and next summer will be no different!

Compared to the other books, it was slower. But still very good! You see a lot of character growth. Colfer has yet another wonderful story.
