I listened to this on audio and my mind wandered a lot while I was listening to it. I still enjoyed it, though. It was another dystopic book, so a bit difficult to read during a pandemic.

I was a huge fan of The Hunger Games, but I'm not a fan of this book. Maybe, if I read this closer to middle school then I would like it. However, there are a lot of mentions and hints toward "breeding" and rape. Therefore, I don't even feel comfortable putting it in my classroom library.

However, December's #bookspin book has been completed.

Oh wow. This reads like a Fallout game plays. I recommend this, especially if you love apocalypse fiction

Actually excited to read tonight, instead of hoping that the book gets better.
I'm hoping to finish the George Chapman version of the Odyssey tomorrow and make a start on the next version. But all that is a problem for future Ellana.

This was recommended to me because I am a huge Fallout New Vegas fan. I have barely started it and already it is brilliant. It is tense and full of moments that feel wrong but work in the context.
And how fallout like are those covers?!

It was exciting and action-packed and I would love to see it in big screen. Book has a nice concept/plot and highly imaginative. However, I do wish there was a brief description of what happened to the Earth, freaks, disease/virus that killed the people, etc. I also wish that there's a sequel or at least more chapters focusing on Fade and Deuce's love story! Less action and more love!

A writing style that attempted (and failed, IMO) to make the main character seem badass and an audiobook narrator whose voice I found grating from the first sentence, made me give up on this less than 1/4 of the way through.

I've been on a task to read all the unread books on my shelves & I had this #series on there forever now! I binged them within a few days & seriously love them all. There is actually going to be a 4th book releasing this summer, #Vanguard , & I can't wait to read it!

That was a typical start to a trilogy. Hardened heroine? Check. Mysterious good looking boy? Check. Vague hints of a love triangle (ugh)? Check. Long stretches of doing nothing but surviving in the wilds? Check. The writing was decent, the characters interesting enough to keep me going. I didn't love how the plot meandered & abruptly ended, nor how rushed the romance was. Yet, overall, I'm intrigued enough to see where this goes. We'll see! ★★★☆☆.

They're predicting 7 inches of snow between today and tomorrow, which means this southern girl ain't going nowhere! That's ok, though, I have some fun reads lined up to keep me busy!

I've read this 3 years ago but I still love it to pieces. The characters interactions and all the action. Just amazing.

Never quite finish the series but I did like the first book.

I really enjoyed it while reading, but I'm not sure I'd read it again. I'd recommend it to others that like apocalyptic dystopias & zombies.

Interesting premise, but as far as post-apocalyptic YA lit goes, Enclave didn't hook me. I might play it as a video game though.

Fan of the Hunger Games? Don't listen to the cover, this book is NOT for you. I mentally checked out at 75%, but finished it. The way Aguirre chose to handle the topic of rape and victim blaming had me on edge. This was a disgusting waste of time.
