pickI don‘t know how long it‘s taken me to read this, but it‘s been a LONG while. It‘s spent a lot of time between my place and the library but I liked it so much I didn‘t want to give up on it, and I‘m glad I didn‘t. I just loved the story and the fantastical world that Gaiman created.

so-soI'm not sure if it was the writing or the translation that felt a bit weak, and maybe the romance was a bit too much for me but this was just an average 3-star read for me.

pickJust finished Neverwhere again, it‘s like my 4th time. The audio read by the author is just, perfection. Perfect for fall, I‘m channeling those vibes… Its sweltering in Texas right now y‘all. We are not ok. 🔥
pickFinally got around to reading this one, the story was brilliant and the illustrations furthered the immersion into the whirlwind of the story. This story is one of few that I immediately wish I could re-experience for the first time.
Back to reading Neverwhere and continuing on some of my crochet for a local charity.
Who else is still processing the Neil Gaiman news? He was one of my favorites. My thoughts are with the brave women that came forward.

1. For me the answer can only be Neil Gaiman. Comics, picture books, middle grade, YA, poetry, adult—he‘s a fabulous storyteller
2. The tagged book is probably my favorite favorite & the one I own the most editions of. Plus, it has two of my favorite characters ever—Mr. Croup & Mr. Vandemar. I‘m also inordinately fond of Fortunately, the Milk, The Graveyard Book, & Stardust…ok Coraline too. Alright, all the books!
