The final instalment of The Nevernight Trilogy is...brutal! Slow and frustrating in places but an end like a crescendo crashing on you. Darkdawn got me, I laughed and I shed many tears. I loved this Trilogy and this final book does it justice.

Think this was actually my favourite instalment of this trilogy which is unusual for a concluding book! Some real gut wrenching moments!

Darkdawn is the conclusion to The Nevernight Chronicles and its fantastic. In this one Mia and co. go after the Red Church. I love the grit of Kristoff's writing. My favorite character is definitely Mr Kindly Mia's sarcastic shadow cat.

If only it would never end

Wow! What a crushing, emotionally captivating and bloody good trilogy! The dark writing as good a weaving of words as marielle was at weaving skin. I haven‘t read anything this memorable in the fantasy world this good since Game of Thrones. From the utterly unique magic systems, the detailed world building and the OMG depth of the characters. Tric💔! The heartbreak is real and it breaks many times.

So this one to me was sooooo slow. The ending worked out great and I actually liked the last couple of chapters but the rest was a wash.

I finally finished this series, it is not one of my favorites I have to say. We find out what happens to Mia and the gang! #books

I'm about halfway through this and oh my god I ❣❣❣❣❣❣❣, I can't believe it's took me so long to read this series. All the fine details, the character arcs. Everything. I will never not sing high praise for Kristoff. The #nevernightchronicles are amazing.

a solid end to a fun trilogy. admittedly, I don't think this last book is as strong as the second; it lacks the adrenaline and tension from the gladiator games, and Kristoff introduces some larger-scale worldbuilding things that aren't really addressed in the first two books. it's an overall messier experience than I expected, and at times, pretty slow, but I think I enjoyed the ending.

Oh, Darkdawn killed me. I was an emotional wreck reading it. There was so much that happened, but I loved every minute of it. I loved the direction the plot took. Amazing.
I have love every moment of this series and the last book is incredible. It never let's up, there's never a lull, it's fantastic. I'm a massive fan of Jay Kristoff and this book epitomises why.

Such a pick I wish there was another option to pick for epic.

I was so excited when Darkdawn finally came out in this cover! It is stunning and fits the whole series so well! It was fun and exactly what I expected. At the same time this meant that the ending was predictable and I knew more or less how the story would go. I have to admit that the book left me sobbing and swallowing tears a few times. Still when I recall one of the events in the book, I start tearing up.

Fitting ending to the trilogy. It was better than the second book, had more humour, and a good amount of gore and smut. 😉

This is only an adult series and not YA because of all the cursing, blood and sex scenes.

Not as dramatic as the first line of Nevernight.

I've read 11 out of 76 books this year where the characters identify as LGBTQIA that I can remember. I'm not aware of any that are OWN voices for sure. The tagged book has a really intense bi-sexual main character with memorable sex scenes.

So I am highly considering getting Mr. Kindly tattooed on my arm. I have been obsessed with the European cover of Darkdawn. The one thing is if I could change up the inside a little to incorporate baking utensils in honor of my cat Flour. It‘ll be a while before I could have it done since shutdowns and people needing to reschedule but I don‘t think I‘ve wanted a tattoo more.

So excited!!! On the last part! 😬

I wanted to save this book for my vacation as I have absolutely loved the first two books. And it was the perfect vacation read, equal parts thrilling, action packed, witty but also beautifully sentimental. It was so well paced and truly the perfect concluding chapter to this series. A lot of series never really satisfy me with the endings, but this was just perfect!

The Nevernight Chronicle and I had a problem.l since the beginning. I liked the conclusion much more than Godsgrave, but I feel I have some rather harsh words to say:
This feels like a YA novel that the author desperately tried to make an adult novel. So he introduced lots and lots of cursing, sex, and gore, without understanding that the storyline stays a YA story with tones and tones of YA tropes.
I liked the books, but this annoys me to no end

Usually the last book in a series risks to disappoint because of the great expectations that the reader has built. But this did not disappoint (except that maybe I would have liked even more blood and killing).

Just finished this beautiful book in 24 hours. Sad its over but what a journey #currentread #fantasy

Well, I finally finished it. The song is sung, the war is over, and my heart is a little sore. So good. I'm sorry to say goodbye, but I think it ended very well.

✨I don‘t want this series to end. 😭 I absolutely love everything about these books. So much so, I‘ve started a Nevernight Chronicles tattoo sleeve.
✨Don‘t mind me, I‘ll just be picking up the pieces of my heart. 🖤

✨With my work schedule, the only time I really have to read is around midnight when I get home- which isn‘t ideal since I‘m usually absolutely exhausted.
✨So, now I just get to work really early (OCD won‘t allow me to be late- have to at least be in the parking lot 30 minutes before my shift starts. 🤦🏼‍♀️) and read- which has its own problems cause I don‘t wanna stopppp.
