Very YA. Very good twist.
Maddie is allergic to the world and never leaves her house. The only people she can see are her mum and her nurse, Carla.
That is until the new neighbours move in and she sees Olly. Tall, dark and staring up at her. They begin talking through the window and signs, until one day they finally meet.
This book makes you think and feel many things. I felt engaged throughout. It included many memorable quotes, short chapters and was a great YA read.
It‘s cute. I never saw the movie so I wasn‘t sure where it would go. The ending could have been a little better however.
Holy crap! I had no idea what this YA novel was actually about, but I was not expecting Münchausen Syndrome by Proxy! What a heart breaking novel. A young girl who knows nothing of the outside world suddenly falls in love with her new neighbor but can‘t understand the nuances of the space between them. She risks everything to be with him and ends up not only discovering the traumas within her own family, but discovering what it is to really⬇️
I‘ve read many more books than you. It doesn‘t matter how many you‘ve read. I‘ve read more. Believe me. I‘ve had the time.
In my white room, against my white walls, on my glistening white bookshelves, book spines provide the only color.

The bookish references were a fine nod to book lovers in this one. Also, the ending of this one took me by surprise. 4/5 stars only because I had a hard time believing who became her neighbors & an 18 year olds credit card limit. 😂
Everything, Everything, is about a 18 year old girl named Madeline who has SCID, a disease where being exposed to anything and everything could kill her. Some parts of this book are written normally, and others are graphs, email chains, notebook entry's, etc., which, at least for me, makes it a more interesting read. I get bored reading some of the time, and having the book broken up like this, makes it more engaging for me and a faster read.
Quick, easy read for fans of YA. I myself am more of an older adult - much older, so probably not the best at giving an unbiased review. I can imagine younger me enjoying this book very much! Some beautiful descriptive writing and an interesting format, with illustrations, diary entries etc.
“Life is a gift. Don‘t forget to live it.” Crazy plot twist in this book. Really sucks you in!
“Found your book,” he says.

“My diseases is as rare as it is famous. It‘s a form of Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCI), but basically I am allergic to the world. I don‘t leave my house, have not left my house in fifteen years.”
A debut book by Nicola Yoon, which is very underrated but it‘s a good read. A story about a girl with SCI, how she is living her life in a house.
I can give this book 4.5. Really enjoyed reading it.
The book talks about two teenagers one who‘s a girl that is basically allergic to the world an cannot leave her very sanitary an safe house an then you have a boy who moved in next door an is very curious about the life functions of the girl. Rules are broken an relationships loose their bond for another. I love the book it keeps me intrigued an surprised. The theme is love an life risks because through love a girl is willing to risk her life.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very sweet story! I could not put this one down. Had fun with this buddy read @BooksNBowls
Olly and Maddy were everything young love should be about!
I loved this book! It‘s so cute and although it is YA, it didn‘t seem immature at all. The drawings and diagrams made this such a fun read. I‘m going to watch the movie now!
Okay but hold up 🤚
Who TF pays 30 dollars for a t shirt. @BooksNBowls 🤣 lmao
Finally some alone time.....

My #buddyread this month with @KateReadsYA !! We will be discussing the first half of the book tomorrow if anyone who‘s read it would like to join us. It‘s a quick read if you have it on your shelf already!!
Getting started on my weekend read. 💗🌷

*getting half read for week 1! Let's discuss this Sunday?
Madeline Whittier has a severe disease called SCID (severe combined immunodeficiency) meaning that she‘s extremely vulnerable outside and can get ill from even taking a breath of fresh air. She has to stay inside the filtered confines of her house at all times, but she‘s fine with that. She‘s never had many reasons to want to go outside. Then one day, she meets a boy named Olly, who moves into the house next to hers.
18-year-old Madeline Whittier was diagnosed with immunodeficiency aka “bubble baby disease”, which prevents her from ever leaving her house. She is forced to stay home with her mother and nurse reading books and looking through a window day after day. When a new family moves in next door Maddy watches with curiosity and she wishes that she could for once leave her hermetically sealed environment.
This book is a great read, pretty easy to get into and just has a great meaning to it.
What I did like was the unique way the book was presented: different chapters had drawings, diagrams, emails, and journal entries making the book mixed-media.
However, that‘s where what I like stops. I felt the plot was way too slow. For much of the book, nothing happens. Then, when stuff does happen, the biggest plot flaw is how in the world do these two teenagers get money??? Plus, the romance was very insta-love.
I read this a few years ago just before the movie had come out and then watched the movie. I just finished reading this through for the second time!
Another dollar tree haul with a couple dvds too. But look at that cute pocket copy of everything everything on top. I love it. I really need to start reading faster haha #sendhelp
Has anyone read any of these or want to buddy read any?

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
This book was okay, it's not something I'd read over and over again, but its worth a re-read. The format is what I think the best part of this book. It's not your traditional text, there's illustrations, funky handwriting, and quotes and texts. That part was what made this book enjoyable. This is phenomenal work by Nicola Yoon, considering this is her first novel.
4⭐️ Did I like it, yes. Is it something that I will read again, possibly. Was it pretty predictable, absolutely! Mind you that it was meant for young readers, and while I love a good YA, I am an adult. I will say that while I predicted what was going to happen, it‘s still got my emotions pretty intense. It was really well written and worth reading.
5✨ I haven‘t started and finished a book in hours I think ever. This book was so good. I‘ll admit it was an audiobook, but suggest having the copy as well because of the illustrations, charts, and emails. I checked through every so often. I‘ll save my full discussion for my hometown book club. 😍
I‘ve read many more books than you.

I am starting this book. I remember a few years ago this book being everywhere. I am often late to the train when it comes to certain books.
Absolutely loved it. Twist pissed me off but like in a good way? Beautifully written
If you are not regretting you are not living . - Nicola Yoon . Enjoyed the quick read!
Commencing this borrowed from a friend tonight ! Let‘s see how this goes !
1. Since I came to the conclusion this year that one thing I truly love is reading and can't believe it took so long for me to discover, I am setting my reading goal to be 24 books at the least in 2021. I'm a super busy mom/wife but I plan to make time for myself.
2. The book tagged!- Everything, Everything, I don't usually read about illness. This book does look very good though.
3. Sarah J. Maas-I hear so much about her.

Regret is a part of life and that is perfectly acceptable–as long as you‘re not drown in it.

Definitely one of my favorite novels. I am an author of young adult romance as well, for it was this story that inspired me to write my fifth novel. Maddy definitely stole my heart, but Ollie swept her off her feet. I remember watching the film first before actually reading the book, and while on deployment, I read and finished a great novel. I am so ready to read more by this wonderful author.
This was a quick and easy read. I really enjoyed it.
