My human aspect from this text was the social aspect. Without the social aspect of our lives, we would go insane and become pretty depressed, just like what happened to the lawyer when he was inprisoned. For his first years of solitary confinement, the author described how depressed lonely, and angry at himself the lawyer was. Having people around may not be a physical need, but it is indeed an emotional one.

I'll Give You the Sun | Jandy Nelson

This novel is so far about twins, Jude and Noah, who are polar opposites. Although they were very different, they were still very close. Jude was the popular, pretty, social one who everyone loved, while Noah was the quiet one with few to no friends, and spent all of his time drawing. But after their mother tragicly dies and they start highschool, things change. They end up having extremly different lives and personalities then before...

Lather and Nothing Else | Hernando Tellez

The barber is stuck between the decision to hurt the Captain back, or rise above and just do his job. He and the revolution don't believe in what the Capitan and his people are doing, and wants to get his revenge, but does end up knowing better than that. This story tells us that wanting to get revenge for someone who is hurting you/your people, is a human thing, but you should just rise above it.

Everything, Everything, is about a 18 year old girl named Madeline who has SCID, a disease where being exposed to anything and everything could kill her. Some parts of this book are written normally, and others are graphs, email chains, notebook entry's, etc., which, at least for me, makes it a more interesting read. I get bored reading some of the time, and having the book broken up like this, makes it more engaging for me and a faster read.
