I‘ve finished this book a few days ago. I am wondering why I liked Peter Pan so much… this book was about self discovery for our young Wendy Darling, and yet there were so many times i wanted to stop reading because I felt not to have invested into the story. And, I guess that is how it is with these Twisted Tales. I hope ‘Almost There‘ is a lot better.

I‘m not sure how I feel about this book. I now read half of it. The premise was interesting, but it‘s barely keeping my attention. This is the second book in this series that I‘ve read, and I‘m willing to finish it.

I made these #Tinkerbell bookmarks as part of the favors for a baby shower I'm co-hosting. I love getting to have extra fun with our book club ladies!

This month, our bookclub is celebrating one of our members with a Peter Pan baby shower and this Twisted Tale. I thought I'd spend the morning with homemade banana muffins, chai, and some reading. April Fools to me, my four year old was only patient enough to let me bake the muffins, no reading allowed. Joke's on her though, I'll be putting her to bed early now. 😂

A reimagining of Peter Pan where Wendy hitches a ride to Neverland with Hook so she can find Peter and save Neverland. My problem with this book was that Wendy was your typical YA heroine: low self-esteem, constantly doubting herself, trying to please everyone at her own expense, focused on the boy, etc. but turned up to the max.

Nope, this one just wasn‘t for me.
I listen to the audio book, and if it wasn‘t for that I would have dnf it a long time ago.

Every single character grated my nerves and I just wanted to shake them half the time and told them to grow-up. I guess it being Peter Pan and all, it‘s kind of ironic. But really, it was too much for me!

This was fun to read. I always enjoy reading the Twisted Tales series. It was interesting to see Wendy as the hero of the story. It was a cute little story overall. It reminded me of how important it is to make a difference in the world. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love the Twisted Tales series but I just couldn‘t get into this one. I read about 150 pages and just couldn‘t see making myself read another 300 and some pages.

This book gave me BINGO BLACKOUT!!!! Thanks @TheAromaofBooks of books for putting this together. I read so many great books that would have probably sat on my bookshelves for who knows how long. This was my first month but it won‘t be my last!

I have loved all of the Twisted Tales books I‘ve read so far. And this is definitely one of my favorites. Definitely recommend and worth a re-read. Rating: 5 ⭐️

Good. Interesting take on the original story took me a few chapters to get into as it's my first twisted tales and I was thinking about the original story. Even though this is classed as YA I would say this is aimed at an adult audience as there are jokes and some parts that are adult in nature. Recommend for any Disney fans.

I had a soft spot for the pirates, so it was not too surprising that I lost some of my interest when Wendy left them behind - but then, they came back! Hook might actually be my favorite character. I would love a book about him and his crew (as represented in this version of the story) - though Wendy was, obviously, a great heroine.

Book 2 for #24b4Monday . WOW. While I‘ve adored all the books in the Twisted Tales series, (aside from “Once Upon A Dream”), this one is above and beyond. I dare say it is pretty much a psychological, philosophical , & literary analysis of Peter Pan in the form a highly enjoyable adventure fantasy. It also was extremely meta (which I have a weakness for). I also deeply related to this version of Wendy.

This whole book is SO very Jungian. And Meta. As proven in this quote 😂😂😂

So excited to get this, I started reading it immediately even though I‘m in the middle of another book! 😆📚📖

Loving all the references to “The Odyssey” in this. First, mentions of “Rosey-fingered Dawn” and now Calypso and Circe ♥️
