Grammatically Correct

It's late and I'm tired and my brain ain't what it used to be but does this seem wrong to anyone else? I want to use 'were' rather than 'was'...

Ruthiella I think WAS is correct. The verb agrees with either subject, Lewis or Clark, both which are singular. 3y
