😅 Might have gone on an EH binge this summer in lieu of actually getting an island vacation. Sigh, maybe someday I‘ll make it to St. James or Nantucket… 🏖️

Just finishing up the 2nd in this trilogy. Now on to the final book. This one may have been even more of a so-so than the first, but something about these characters & the location keep drawing me in. I really do like them and am pretty excited to see how it all ends up. The writing & situations seem a little implausible, but I really don‘t even care! I‘m all in! 🤣🤣
Loving the characters and the drama that this series is giving me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My desk is a mess and I know I should be working on my to-do list but all I want to do is read about the Virgin Islands and pretend my toes are in the white sand 😩

I enjoy reading Elin Hilderbrand books even though most seldom rate above a solid B on my subjective rating scale. This was the second in the series, but I found it uneventful. Rosie‘s diary bugged me - I appreciate we got to know her this way, but it was weird her entries were written with a detail for someone other than herself. It was as though each entry should have started with ‘Dear Reader‘.
Reached my goal with the tagged book! Looking forward to how many more I can squeeze in before the end of the year.
Book 2 in this suspense/thriller story with a lot of family drama. We will know more about each character but things are getting complicated, I will say expected in this type of legal actions but sad. I was mad if some characters decisions but that was part of the family drama😜Ready for book 3 and see what will happen with these characters. Fast read, good for summer read, most action happens in Caribbean islands, you feel are there 3.8⭐️
This was a quick, fluffy, entertaining read. It answered some of the questions from the first one but ended with a cliffhanger. I‘ve already got the 3rd one on hold at the library but there are several people ahead of me. 😩
This was kind of all of the place, but a decent continuation of the series. It ended on a cliffhanger and I‘m looking forward to reading the rest.
After some heavy reads, I‘m escaping to the Caribbean. 🌴😉
Not my favorite of her books, but very much still worth the read. I will for sure read the third book in this series.
#12booksof2020 @Andrew65
This is book two in the series. It is a continuation of Irene's discovery of her late husbands alternate life in the Caribbean. I love reading about her two boys and their love affair. I remember reading this in April, and thinking I can't wait till October to read the ending.
The second of three was also fun to read. I enjoy the tropical references. Tropical vacations in wintertime are the best, even imaginary ones are great!
This is book 2 in a 3 book series following Irene, an Iowan, who discovers her dead husband had a secret second life on St. John‘s Island. It‘s a light mystery with strong Romanic elements. Light and easy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Teenage Meg should have won out today! NEVER listen to your mother! 😂🤬 The story was NOT finished after book 2. *slams door for effect* 😂
Anyway, this book seems to clear up most of the personal storylines, but the illicit business deals seem to be for book 3.
Either way, I‘m glad Elin has written written a bunch of books for when I just need to tune out and not think. 👍🏻 #audiobook
OMG! The plot thickens. I need to know what is happening with the husband, the money, the sons, the wife, the mistress. My head is spinning in the best way.
#bookbananza Pick 5
OMG, I can't wait till October when the third book comes out. This is just as amazing at the Winter in Paradise. And the cliff hanger ending. What will happen to Irene, with no place to live? I knew Russ was up to no good with his job, but I didn't realize he was in this deep. What did Todd have to do with Russ' death? So many questions. left unanswered.

Goal: finish this book
This was a fantastic sequel to Winter in Paradise. I cannot wait for the third and final book. She leaves this one on such a fantastic cliff-hanger that I cannot wait to find out what happens. Hildebrand does such a good job with her characters, that I cannot wait to find out more about their lives. It is a major plus for me that this is set in my home away from home, a place that I love.
I love reading about places that I've been and I've been to Skinny Legs several times. This is a perfect description.
A juicy follow-up to Winter in Paradise, and I enjoyed the addition of Rosie's perspective. Makes me want to get back to the Caribbean asap, minus the sketchy business dealings, infidelity, and helicopter crashes of course. I'll definitely read the third book when it comes out!

3. Wherever
4. Snooze once, if I don't get up before my alarm goes off.

Old book of the month I haven‘t read yet... so here goes!!
I liked this second in the trilogy much better than the first. The characters and setting are fun, but this one reads almost like a mystery. How long until the third one comes out?! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great book! Now I have to wait until October for the next/last one!

When the library has the second in the trilogy available as soon as you finish the first🙋♀️
Getting my groove on and starting a new book. 📖
The ending snuck up on me....I always wish her books would go on and on. I like how she tied Irene and Mitzi from the Winter Street series together! #TBRReads #WinterGames #teamNutcracker @Bookworm54 @StayCurious @Clwojick
Read this poolside this morning (with my mudslide and then later in the pool with book on the pool edge). Great follow-up to Christmas in Paradise, this is book 2 in a trilogy (which are *gasp* set in St John and NOT Nantucket). 4.5 stars, the intrigue ratchets up in this one and I found it more smoothly edited than book 1. Good #botm pick too.
A bunch of great books that I‘d put on hold through Libby app and my library all came in at once! TWO Stephen King as well.....Better get reading! #WinterGames #TeamNutcracker #TBRReads

2nd book in this series and I really liked it!
I tried to get a better picture but Frankie was too sleepy!
Next holiday read and my first peppermint mocha of the season!
I love Elin Hilderbrand. So ready for the next book in this series.
Just over half way through this one and can‘t put it down!!!
Awesome #200KGiveaway @Librarybelle
Congrats on the huge milestone!
Thanks for the opportunity. I‘ve been waiting for this book to come out. Can‘t wait to read it.
Yeah, the typical second book of a trilogy--a lot of detail than cliffhanger but not a whole lot of story 😕
