This third in Don and Rosie‘s story (and now of course Hudson) was fun and entertaining as well as broaching the subject of autism spectrum this time. In the first two books it‘s danced around but not approached.

I love how devoted Don and Rosie and their friends and family are to Hudson, doing what they think will be best to help him adapt to a new school, new friends, new schedules. And I love all the ways Hudson surprises them.

So glad I stuck with the series after only mildly enjoying book two. This humor felt more like book one, as I had hoped it would. Lighthearted, enjoyable moments to make me laugh heartily.

Alfoster Oh good! I‘ll need to read this as I enjoyed the others!❤️🤞 3y
CarolynM Nice review🙂 I nearly didn't read this because I was so disappointed in the second one. Glad I did though because it wound up being my favourite. 3y
BookBabe I wasn‘t sure if I wanted to read this after reading the second book, but you‘ve convinced me! I‘ll check it out. ☺️ 2y

After the first two installments only flirted with the concept of Autism Spectrum Disorder this one goes full bore into the issues related to it. I liked that there was a look into many of the issues regarding diagnosis and identity.

I really enjoyed the conclusion to the Rosie story. The author ended this three part story well. Overall, the entire series was a real highlight to read.

CarolynM I think I might have liked this last one best🙂 4y
Yoricke_SouthAfrica @CarolynM It's a tough choice, because I really enjoyed all three, but the series definitely ended extremely well. It was a great book. 4y

This is the third book and I would rate this one 3d of the three
Still very enjoyable. I laughed out loud more times than I could count.
Read all three. They are each a delight.

The end of the Rosie trilogy. I was glad that Rosie and Don weren't fighting in this one. It is again full of humour, logic amd social problems. It made me think of how much we want others to change, despite of agreeing to change our own reaction. Really nice book!

This was a huge disappointment. I absolutely loved the first book in this series, enjoyed the second book but with this one? It was a hot mess. I did enjoy seeing the interactions of Don and his son, Hudson, but there was just way too much going on so it just wasn‘t enjoyable.

Absolutely loved the last book in the Rosie and Don trilogy! They wound up with a great kid and it was a big step for Don to realize that he himself was on the spectrum and to accept it. Loved the characters old and new and I wouldn‘t be surprised if I re-read this trilogy one day. It‘s been a long time since I became so attached to characters. Hoping the absolute best for Don, Rosie, and Hudson!

Book 3 of the Don Tillman series was not disappointing. I love the other Rosie books and really liked this one too! This one wasn't my favorite of the series but it was still so enjoyable. Don and Rosie are back with their 11 year old son. As usual, problems arise and Don works out a way to fix them all. Fun book! #trilogy

I was super reluctant to read this book given how much I hated the previous one in the series. However a few friends spoke highly of it so I decided to give it a go. I‘m really glad I did. It‘s funny, surprising and really sweet, like the Rosie project was. Skip the middle book and read the first and third only is my tip.

CarolynM I agree. First one was fun, second was rubbish, this one might even be better than the first. 5y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As a teacher of high school students, mainstream, diagnosed and undiagnosed ASD students, this novel really made me appreciate more the journey of all people involved.

Such an amazing story which concluded the trilogy and all its characters marvellously. I love how far along Don has come and socialisation adventure of Hudson. I just loved it. 💕

A great addition to the Don Tillman story. In this one the Tillman's are debating whether to get a diagnosis, both for Hudson and Don.

The first installment is my favorite, definitely. I don't remember loving the second. This third installment might be slightly better than the second. This installment includes Don and Rosie's 11-year-old son, Hudson. I liked the friendships/relationships (both Don's and Hudson's) developed in this book, as well as Hudson's development (despite *and* because of the guidance of his parents).

It was great to be back in the life of Don Tillman. He‘s just as honest, literal, and funny as he was in previous books. This time he‘s navigating life as a dad to an 11 year old.

We've followed Don through romance, marriage, career, friendship and now we follow him into the wilds of parenthood. I loved the first two installments of 'Rosie', and was so thrilled at getting the chance to see how this amazing, original and charming set of characters continued to love their lives. As Don himself would say, World's Best Trilogy.

Fantastic new characters and dilemmas! And an amazing bar concept that NEEDS to be true...

After thoroughly enjoying the first two installments of this trilogy, I was thrilled to be approved by #NetGalley for the third “Rosie” book! But the focus here isn‘t on Don and Rosie‘s relationship - instead on their now 11 year old son, Hudson, who seems to really take after his father. This causes problems in his new school... But though this is a quick read, it was missing a lot of the charm and humor of the earlier books... disappointing!

I cannot tell you how excited I was when I get an ARC. I just adored the first two books so much. This picks up years later with Don and Rosie and their son Hudson who is having some difficulty in school. This book had all the charm as the first two books. I would not want to spoil a think but Don is definitely up to his old tricks, If you read the previous books you gotta read this one. Perfect end to the story.

The 3rd in the trilogy but can be enjoyed on its own - Don Tillman & Rosie have an 11 yr-old son Hudson, who might be on the autism spectrum & is struggling at school. A wonderful insight into how schools (don‘t) look after children with special needs. Don tries to help Hudson, with comic results. I loved being back in Don‘s world: warm, funny writing, diverse characters & helps you empathise with people w autism - there‘s more to them than that.

Libby1 Yippee! I must get my hands on this one. My son is on the spectrum. 6y

This was a quick, light and very entertaining read. There were plenty of laughs, but also some more serious underlying themes about the way we deal with children who display traits associated with autism spectrum disorder. The publicity for this book has indicated that it is the final book in a trilogy, but I suspect there's probably room for at least one more. #ozfiction

CarolynM @Reviewsbylola I don't know if you read The Rosie Project, or how you felt about it, but you might find this one interesting. The school stuff was very close to my experiences with my son and the more general insights into negotiating the world with an ASD were quite insightful. 6y
margreads Like everyone else, I loved The Rosie Project but I don't think I ever finished the second book. I did start it but that's it 6y
CarolynM @margreads I didn't like the second one either, I was quite annoyed by it. This one is much better, possibly better than the first one. 6y

Reviewsbylola Do I need to read TRP first? I have it but haven‘t read it yet. This one sounds really good! 6y
CarolynM @Reviewsbylola I don't think you have to have read the others. There are references to things that happened in the others, but I didn't remember the incidents or characters from the second book (that's how much I disliked that one) and it didn't matter to me. The first one is quite fun, though, and sets up Don, who is the first person narrator of all three. 6y
Reviewsbylola Ok, I‘ll read TRP first and skip the second book altogether. 😆 6y

This is the 3rd book in a trilogy, the first book, (The Rosie Project), being my all time, ultimate, most favourite book.
In The Rosie Result, we have the privilege of watching Don Tillman parent his son, Hudson, in his unique way. This role further endears his character to the reader as we take the journey of acceptance and self reflection with him.
This book is heartwarming, funny and it will make you THINK!
Highly recommended.
