4.5/5 #starwars #darthvader
Taking place after the events of the first STAR WARS film, this series starts off like a weak remix of familiar beats, pure fan service. Soon Vader is paired with the human character, Aphra, and a couple of murderous droids. A fun dynamic emerges between the awkward, temporary comrades. Beautiful art and a brisk pace help elevate this series into something special.
Library was getting rid of these comic books and my nerdy side was so so so pumped. ❤️ not original Star Wars. But 💯 fun to read for Star Wars fans. Set in a time right after the Death Star is blown up, Vader is on a mission to restore his good name to the Sith Lord. If you like comics, you‘ll enjoy it. Just like all comics, it‘s short and easy to follow.
Continuing to read Darth Vader..apparently he and the Mandalorian don‘t have the same feeling about droids lol
I decided to try out the ComiXology Unlimited which I assume is like Kindle Unlimited. First free comic I‘m trying is the current Star Wars Darth Vader run. I‘m liking it so far!
These were great they were set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. I loved the introduction to Dr. Aphra and the droids Triple Zero & Beetee were hilarious (think evil C-3po and R2-D2).

I couldn't let May the 4th go by without finally making a Star Wars post. I decided to read my favorite Star Wars comic series again. This Darth Vader series was fantastic! I love how Kieron Gillen writes his character. I really wish that the movies could have fleshed him out the way the books and comics did. This Vader storyline would make a great miniseries. (Are you listening Disney streaming service?)
I‘m reviewing the children‘s museum because either today or tomorrow there having a Star Wars party or something Star Warsy
1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Obi-Wan Kenobi, though Aayla Secura gets an honorable mention because she was the only female Jedi on battlefront 😂 (I forgot about Captain Phasma, but she also gets an honorable mention).
3. I‘ve never actually read any 🤷🏻♀️

I didn't make it to midnight. So here I go.
Another series I picked up during an Amazon sale. Enjoying it a bunch! Definitely great for fans and gives some interesting story bits and fills in some story gaps (like how did the Emperor feel towards Darth Vader after the Deatg Star exploded). I am definitely going to read volume 2 and if the story telling holds up, continue with this series. Recommended for those who enjoy Star Wars but you don't have to be a hardcore fan.

I live Triple Zero 😈
(From Darth Vader, Vol 2, which doesn't seem to exist on litsy?)
My previous boss nicknamed me Darth Becky when I announced I was taking another position in the facility. Totally undeserving! But, I did get one of those Darth Vader voice changing masks and wore it to an office party before leaving the department. Thought I would check out this graphic novel of my namesake.
Nothing like a little dark side reading. Enjoyed the first volume of Darth Vader by Kieron Gillen. Some truly twisted moments and interesting new characters.
Great art (Larocca) and interesting story development (Gilles). Loved the introduction of new droids (particularly Triple-Zero - anyone else read that in C3PO's voice?) and an archaeologist/scavenger Aphra as a smart-ass counter to Vader's humorlessness. I liked the call-backs to EpIV/prequel trilogy but perhaps there were too many since it felt like there were too many time jumps between panels.
Also #litsylovesleia (conveniently enough😜).
One does not simply choose one Star Wars book. I honestly could not ever pick a favorite if my life depended on it. #starwars #octphotochallenge
#octphotochallenge #starwars We don't love Star Wars at my house. I know, I know, how dare I?! But that's how it is. So I have nothing to post or say for this challenge except that my daughter thinks chewbacca is cute until she sees him move.
Sometimes after you walk to the library and it takes 30 minutes, you have to watch Star Wars after reading about it. Not that we're wiped or anything.
Some strange sexual tension going on between Vader and the character Aphra, which immediately brought to mind Aphra Behn. Perhaps Kieron Gillen is a fan?
