Second book finished for #deweys24hourreadathon and I LOVED it. If you liked Ready Player One or Warcraft, you will enjoy this book too. Cool thing is that even if you don‘t game you‘ll understand this book. Word or warning, have the sequel on hand when you finish! (Guest appearance by Cleo.)

The story behind the making of The Room is entertaining as hell. Towards the end I got annoyed with Greg and there is one part where he came off as REALLY BITTER and blaming Tommy for his lack of acting career. Again, you took the job dude, you were the only one who read the whole script beforehand so it‘s not like you didn‘t know how bad it was going to be. But other than that, really fun book. A must read for anyone who has seen The Room.

This story takes place before the first book & is basically the Origin Story of Jack & Jill. I really enjoyed it though it is dark & lots spoilers for book 1. And before anyone starts the “Jack and Jill‘s parents aren‘t realistic!” griping, I spent a lot of time working childcare and met parents like this. Seanan McGuire narrates this & does a very good job! I had listened to her narration of a short story of hers but this really shows her skills.

This was a bit darker than I thought it would be. But it doesn‘t make light of the kid‘s situation. I listened to it on audiobook and it is a full cast performance with narration by Tim Curry. My only hesitation on continuing the audiobooks is that they are not all full cast narration but not all of them (on Audible at least) are narrated by Tim Curry. The author narrates some random ones. It‘s annoying and jarring when this happens in a series.

Linear I liked the movie but couldnt get into this 7y

I really enjoyed this! There were parts I didn‘t fully understand but I never felt completely lost or stupid. A really great place to dip your toes into astrophysics. He reads the audiobook and does a great job. Caveat, Neil deGrasse Tyson has been accused of sexual assault publicly and from what I have read there are people in the field who aren‘t surprised (I had already bought this book when this information was brought to light.)

I am not sure if I liked this book or not. At times I flew through chapters & others that felt like a slog & I had to reread parts. It was beautifully written though confusing at times. I had never heard of this lady until I picked up this book. It seems like I would have enjoyed it more if I knew anything about the real person. But it does take an interesting look at fame. Basically nothing has changed over the centuries. Overall, glad I read it.

Cinfhen The cover is so striking!!! 7y
