Since I am down with whatever cold bug that is going around, I am going to catch up on my comics. I plan on spending more time here and less time on FB this year. I‘ve missed the fun and positivity of this community. Happy New Year! ❤️❤️

I enjoy this comic a lot.
#BookMail Pt3 My #BlameItOnLitsy book for #LittenLoveBingo #LLB19 This came Tuesday, I was saving it for the next readathon but I couldn‘t resist. How can I pass up steampunk? Set in an alternate England, Lady Mechanika knows very little about her past, only that she woke with mechanical parts in a very bad place. Desperate to find the people responsible, she & her friend Lewis use his inventions to investigate & find the truth.
I snagged a copy of Lady Mechanika #1 by Joe Benítez at Free Comic Book Day 2018. It took me awhile, but I was finally able to give it a read!

@callielafleur - thank you for paying it forward with the opportunity to win these four graphic novels with #ClearingtheShelves1 giveaway!
I thoroughly enjoyed the first four volumes of Lady Mechanika that I checked out of the library. So much so that I plan to buy copies for my own personal library, along with recently published volume 5. The stories are fascinating and the artwork is gorgeous!
Attended the Michigan ComicCon today with @VioletCavalier and picked up these two graphic novels!
Post one of three.

Finished this last night and really liked it. The artwork was beautiful, although maybe a bit to much emphasis on breasts.
I wish Hoopla had the rest of the volumes 🙁
Book mail! My local shop couldn‘t even order this so I had to get it online. I love this #Steampunk art !!😍
Loved this! It was so much better than I expected it to be! A mystery and an adventure set in a fantastical steampunk world. Excellent artwork and an engaging story, I can‘t wait to read more! 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The artwork in this is awesome!
I‘m starting this graphic novel series tonight. I‘m looking forward to getting into it!
I almost went another way with today‘s prompt, but I decided to post this graphic novel series that‘s on my TBR list. #LadyMadonna #HeyJune @Cinfhen
It occurs to me that Free Comic Book Day is less than two weeks away!!! I‘m not the only one obsessing about which comics I want, am I? Chicago Comics limits you to 5 comics—so I‘m thinking Barrier (Brian K. Vaughan=must have), Avengers/Captain America (why not), Lady Mechanika (because steampunk), Overwatch/Black Hammer (Lemire is awesome) & Crush (part of fabulous series about middle school). Yay! Can‘t wait! Wonder what the kids will pick?!?
Best cover yet - simply gorgeous!! The artwork is magnificent and the storytelling superb. Lady Mechanika gets better with every volume. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is my first foray into steam punk literature but it won‘t be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I give it 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Quite liked the artwork, and the MC is definitely intriguing. But the story seems a little stretched out and it got little bit boring, or it felt like it was kind of dragging on. As much as I may admire the artwork and enjoy the whole steampunk theme (possibly the best thing about this series), I don‘t think I will keep reading.
This is quite interesting. But the costumes 🙄🙄🙄
She seems to suffer from Lara Croft syndrome 😏
I'm so excited for this! I already have my comics planned out (the tagged book being one of them). And there is a a photo challenge too! I may or may not participate in that, but we will see.

#30daysofreadathon Day 25: Comics Craze
Husband and I tried to get into the whole shebang of comics, keeping up with every issue the day of release, etc. and we failed (the hour trek by bus to the store did us in). However, I now have a marvelous hoard of comics to show for it! I could probably do only comics for this #readathon
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This new gn was action packed and offered a colorful look at the Mexican Day of the Dead festival and cultural beliefs. The plot of this story was solidly entertaining and left things open for further series installments. Loved the intensity and pop of the illustrations. I did, however, find some of the pages were a little hard to make out because there was just too much going on or too many details to discern.

Although I found some plot points difficult to follow (mainly due to arrangement of panels), overall I enjoyed this steampunk story of the badass title character pursuing leads about how and why she was made into a mechanical woman by person(s) unknown. No resolution of the overall issue, but enough to keep me interested and moving on to volume 2.
Steampunk badass crime-solving heroine. Need I say more?
This volume is beautifully drawn and colored. The story is interesting and mysterious, but it suffers from being rushed. Overall, it was a fun read and I recommend it to any Steampunk wealth!
Currently diving into this beauty! I've heard nothing but good things! :)

If you're interested in steampunk, humans fused with machines, badass heroines with giant boobs, and some of the most gorgeous artwork I've ever seen in a comic, check out this first volume in the Lady Mechanika series.
This volume has a wonderfully crafted steampunk story teamed up with absolutely beautiful artwork! If you're a fan of steampunk, this is definitely for you! #litsypartyofone read one down! On to number two!!
Settling in for the rest of my #litsypartyofone evening! Batgirl pajamas: ✅ Books: ✅ Leg elevated: ✅ Drink: ✅ Snacks: ✅ Let's do this!!!
Beginning #litsypartyofone a little bit early in the afternoon with this graphic novel, before I go see my nephew for the first time since surgery. (Although, it's kind of a party of two, since the hubby is reading in the same room)
This was awesome. My beef with a lot of steampunk is that it's like "LOOK AT ME IM STEAMPUNK ARENT I SO COOL AND ORIGINAL" and it's super annoying. Is it possible for books to try way too hard? This comic isn't like that. It's more "hey, I'm steampunk, it's whatever, check me out if you want". This comic gets that steampunk is done a lot. Idk if that makes sense. But it wasn't obnoxious like a lot of steampunk I've enountered. A+
Lady Mechanika vol 1
Finally got around to reading this 😉 I definitely enjoyed the artwork and the thrill of a steampunk setting. Story-wise, it's pretty straightforward and adventurous. Can't wait to read the next volume - whenever it shows up in stock 😆
