Decided I wanted to reread this series. Though I don‘t know if I ever finished the whole series or read the last book.

However, I‘m not sure if I‘m going to be able to continue with this on audio. I absolutely hated Lissa‘s voice. It was so high pitched and childish, it was annoying.

I did enjoy the story and want to continue, so we‘ll see. I haven‘t read these books since probably 2011 or so…

Uhhhhh just finished this for the second go around and still love it. The movie has semi tomato reviews but I love it too 😭❤️🫶🏼

Okay, this was better then I thought it was going to be. Which also means I'll take a look at the TV show.

I wanna say that I finished the Vampire Academy series...but I can't and never will. They took an awesome, sometimes sweet book series and turned it into stupid soapy CRAP! The worst part *sniffles* is that they made my favorite book boyfriend into a selfish douchebag. How could they?!? That writer should stick with the crappy books so she can only make it better. Doing a #reread because I'm so excited for the Peacock series, I can barely stand it. Rose has SUCH a distinctive character voice, and I just love this universe. I know it's massively popular, but somehow this series feel underrated to me? #yafantasy

SCORE! 🎉🎉🎉 I had to go to the main library today for a staff meeting- y'all know how I feel about going over there where all the mean nincompoops work! 😂 BUT! I always check out the donation room while I'm there because it's HUGE and I always find treasures - today was no exception! I FOUND A COMPLETE SET OF THE VAMPIRE ACADEMY SERIES!❤📖❤ I LOVED these books when I read them ages ago, so I'm excited to own copies now! 😄💕📚

I read it before, but I‘m rereading it so I can actually get through the series. I still very much enjoyed it, and liked it so much better than the movie… No surprise there.

I went with the crew from Vampire Academy. Packed full with badasses like Rose and Dmitri, and Christian can use fire, so I think I have a pretty good chance of surviving with them watching my back. Solid 3 star start to the series. I. And see a lot of potential in both character growth and growth in the plot. I have hopes for where the series could go and I think that is why it didn‘t rank higher. It wasn‘t quite there yet. It felt like the first few Harry Potter books. All the raw materials are there and I‘m curious to see how it ends up.

If I have read this book, I certainly don‘t remember. After re-watching the Twilight series on Netflix (🤭🙃😍) I was in the mood for something fun, fast paced and somewhat guilty pleasure. This certainly fits the bill and is a worthy beginning to a full series. ❤️ the take on the duality of guardians and their charges. And the spunk of the two MCs. 5/5 for the first in this series! This is a great first book in the series. I just loved Rose. She is feisty and fiercely loyal. The perfect balance to the more demure Lissa. I‘m so intrigued by Dimitri and can‘t wait to see where this goes. Christian is an awesome character too! I will definitely be continuing this series.

Despite focusing on my TBR this year, I just felt the urge to re-read Vampire Academy and Bloodlines, so that's what I'm doing. And I'm enjoying it more the second time around! I forgot how much action each books holds, so it's been a fun distraction from the insanity of reality.

I had hoped to finish Someone We Know yesterday, and I would have... but then I started watching Bridgerton and it took over my Sunday. As much as I love reading, it's rare I get that sucked in by a show.
Still I finished 4 books (Uncommon Type, Girl 11, Star-Touched Stories and Vampire Academy) and made progress on 2 more (Game Of Cones and Someone We Know) for our first #AnywayYouReadathon

Amazing seires, a little predictable in some parts but overall great, one of my all time favs

The main character Rose and Vasilisa (Lisa) are amazing. My all time favourite is Rose. I love the way she is. She's strong, herself, independent, doesn't take no for an answer, speaks her mind, knows how to fight, gets it her way...there's seriously a lot I love about Rose Hathaway. Honestly to the point I wish I were she.

I enjoyed this book, however I honestly expected to love it. Hopefully the rest of the series picks up.

This series has been sitting on my shelf for a while, I guess it's time to give it a go, since nothing else is jumping out at me.

Also, I cataloged all of my books so I don't keep accidentally buying books I already own, and I have 1,047 books in all!

I had bought Vampire Academy years and years ago and I enjoyed it but I just never got around to buying the rest of the series. Well, I was at my local Ollie's store a week or so ago and seen Shadow Kiss and Spirit Bound for only $1.99!! so I grabbed them and I ordered the rest online. Frostbite got here today, just waiting on Blood Promise and Last Sacrifice now. I'm excited to reread the first and finally read the whole series! 😊
