I didn‘t know Ursula Le Guin wrote childrens books. My Libby hold on Earthsea still have not arrived and since this was available, I quickly borrowed it for #AuthorAMonth . It‘s an easy and fun read for early readers with cute and detailed illustrations, about four unusual kittens who were born with wings; and their adventures in the rural areas. Nice read aloud story.

I loved this charming, sweet , robust story in miniature. Follow a family of kittens who have wings and make their way in the world. I wanted to read an Ursula Le Guin book for #authoramonth but haven‘t had much luck with her in the past so I thought I‘d try one of her books for young people and this a total hit! I‘ve already downloaded the audio of book 2. And with 35 min recordings, I should be able to read them all this weekend 😄 @Soubhiville

Our latest bedtime chapter book was Ursula LeGuin‘s Catwings. I thought it was very sweet and a decent size at only four medium length chapters. I‘ll be picking up the next three books as well as my 4yo enjoyed the “flying cat book”.

We were going through old photos at my BF's parents' house this evening, and in one of the boxes was a spiral-bound creative writing assignment the BF did when he was about 7. It was basically Catwings fan fiction -- a new adventure for the kittens! It was hilarious and adorable at the same time 😂😂♥️♥️

Listened to this today. Short but cute! The author read it.

Just finished this and it was adorable! Winged kittens born to a life of poverty in the ghetto move on to bigger and better things in the country and finally find a forever home. Loved it!

I just picked this up to read out loud to my 5 year old daughter, big hit! We are going back to the library to get the next in the series! Love Le Guin!!!! I didn't even know about these books til this week!
