Okay, Sorry about last night, I was so exhausted!
Fav books??? 1. Johnathan Livingston Seagull (because my daddy), 2. Pet Semetary and not sure with the 3rd because it always changes

Things I was grateful for yesterday: 1. Got out of work on time, 2. Hot shower (had my feet wet all day because I don't own snow shoes yet), 3. My ability to .. not disassociate but maybe just zone out?

#30DaysOfGratitude , #Gratitude

jb72 I‘ve heard on JLS and of course my library doesn‘t have it. I did just find a pdf of it so now I‘ll finally be able to read it. Great list! Thank you! 4y
ElizaMarie @jb72 Its a quick little inspiring story :) 4y
Crazeedi @jb72 @ElizaMarie when I was pregnant with my first, I embroidered a picture with Jonathan Livingston Seagull. It was such a popular book in that year!! 4y

ElizaMarie @Crazeedi Awe. Thats so sweet. I would love to see it if you are willing to share :). I have a seagull tattoo (the outline from the book) that I got when my daddy died. He was not a big reader (his momma was that thats who really pushed my reading - but my dad always wanted me to read even though he didn't) but.. Johnathan Livingston Seagull was HIS book. He would quote it and make little seagull comments. I read it every year on his birthday. 4y
jb72 @Crazeedi that is crazy cool 😎 4y
jb72 @ElizaMarie Wow that is such a sweet story. 4y
Crazeedi @ElizaMarie you know what, I'm not sure where my crewel picture is. Which is crazy sad. I need to see if I still have it, it was framed and everything 4y
ElizaMarie @Crazeedi Awe :) Well I am sure it was lovely! 4y
tpixie @ElizaMarie sweet memories 💗 4y

Nov 3: This prompt is going to be a bit of a challenge for many of us. Books are a big part of our lives and many have changed our lives. Name your top 3 (or more) books that have inspired you and/or changed your life for the better. These can be fiction or nonfiction.
1. The Secret Series
2. Big Magic
3. The Go-Giver

Gratitude:
1. The opportunity to vote
2. The love of reading
3. Blanket Fort on the couch

Bookworm54 It‘s going to take some thinking. But I feel like maybe inspired is easier than favourites??? 🤣 I haven‘t heard of your picks so I will have to do some research ☺️ 4y
jb72 @Bookworm54 inspired is just as good as favorites! Feel free to do what works for you! 4y
ElizaMarie I am emotionally drained, but ... I will post this Gratitude thingie tomorrow (also 3 fav books!? What!!!) 4y

I don't know why but my favorite books are classics but it doesn't mean that I don't enjoy recent/contemporary books. 1. Crime and Punishment 2. Jane Eyre 3. The Count of Monte Cristo I loved King Lear due to an old Russian movie adaptation. Also loved Pabellón De cancer (Cancer Ward), The Sorrows of Young Werther and so on. Of course loved HP series? Thank you @Chrissyreadit

Chrissyreadit I love your list! 4y
Chrissyreadit How are you doing? 4y
Gissy @Chrissyreadit I'm ok. Living this new COVID-19 lifestyle☺️How about you and your family? 4y

Chrissyreadit @Gissy still doing school, work, House, Garden. But those are all good things to have. I like being home. 4y
Gissy @Chrissyreadit Yes, I like also being home. I want to start a project in my garden. Yesterday I bought some plants but I'm not good. I will try. I'm also enjoying my power walking routine. We are 4 friends sharing 4 days a week, going to SJ and doing some "running". But they are younger and faster so it is a real challenge to me? 4y
Suet624 I still haven‘t read The Count. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 4y
Gissy @Suet624 One of those books that I need to reread! 4y

jb72 Instead of having a “favorite” book, my friend and I have what we call our desert island books. Books we‘d want to have if stranded on a desert island. 6y

Thank you to all of those that have followed me since I joined! I thought it‘d be fun to get to know you all, so post a comment with your favorite book and tell me why! 🤓 #shelfie #gettoknow #bookworms #newtolitsy

Artsybookgirl Picking a favorite book is so hard!! One of my all time favorites is The Perks of Being a Wallflower because I love the writing style and I adore the characters! :) 6y
madamereadsalot1 It's difficult to pick a forerunner for favorite. Reading is very therapeutic to me, so depending on what kind of "therapy" I need, depends on what my favorite is at that point. Also, there is never a shortage of excellent books that are worthy of top billing to discover! That being said, constantly top 3, & regularly number 1, is American Gods by Neil Gaiman. It's written wonderfully, the characters are fantastic, & it's just plain magical! 6y
j9brown So hard to pick just one! I've probably read All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot more times than any other book - my copy is in pieces! It was my favorite when I was young and revisiting it just makes me happy and nostalgic. 6y
