My surgery on Tuesday went like a dream, and I spent two nights in the ICU stepdown before they discharged me today. I'm so happy to be home and snuggling up with my hubs and my books. 😘
I'll be around tonight for a while, but after that it'll be a few days until I'm back. I've spent the summer learning about my diagnosis - called Chiari malformation. Tomorrow I have the surgery to relieve symptoms - hopefully it'll make a big difference. It's a major surgery, but I feel confident and hopeful. My surgeon is awesome and I'll be at a top-notch hospital. And my support system (including you guys) rocks! #seeyaontheflipside
