@Emiller I am sorry for your loss. I am afraid I don‘t have any pets right now however here are my buns taken some years ago. Mia (top) getting out of the travelling cage after we moved to Germany and Amy enjoying a book. Two mins after this was taken she tried to have a nibble.

panSometimes reading a later book in a series first is great for me. It keeps me from finding a first book boring. This was not the case. I have a love of romances food themes, but this wasn‘t the one. I did go back and read Nuts and liked it. This is tried and tired, not a crisp addition to the series. Read Nuts and leave it at that. It did inspire me to attempt making scones (though unmentioned in the novel) and it was delicious though.
