Day 14: Bell. This is a bell from the Polar Express. Our local train station runs an amazing Polar Express experience every Christmas. We went a few times when the girls were younger and it was so good. Plus amazing hot chocolate.

Three Christmases ago Wes fully attached to The Polar Express when we borrowed it from the library. From there came the movie. This year is the second year we‘ve been able to participate in The Polar Express with the National Railroad Museum. Unfortunately grandma was sick this year so only mom and Great Aunt Kay made it. But we got our first successful Santa pic!

Took my girls when younger and they loved it plus the hot chocolate was amazing. A great way to utilise our little railway line.

This book has always been one of my favorites. I love the story and it really helps keep the spirit of Christmas and Santa alive even when you grow up. The pictures are amazing and really capture the essence of a dark winters night even thought something really exciting is happening. The movie is just as good as the book with great songs and an amazing soundtrack.

This book written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg won the Caldecott medal in 1986. A boy is awoken in the middle of the night to find a train waiting to take him to the North Pole. He doesn't believe in Santa Claus so he does it to know. He meets many nice people on the way and even gets to sit on Santas lap. Santa gives him a jingle bell from a reindeer but the boy looses it. He opens a box on Christmas morning to find the bell inside.

I love the classic story in this book and the illustrations are amazing! Teachers can use this story with any age and still keep them all engaged.

Caldecott Medal Winner. published 1985. This is a very popular Christmas classic story. This story was a huge part of my Christmas memories growing up and I went on the Polar Express train a few times when I was little. This is a story and movie that could be paired together in the classroom around the holiday season for any age!

This story is about a young boy who takes an adventure on a long train ride with other children all the way to the North Pole to meet the one and only Santa Claus. He struggles to get there and to even believe at first in the end he realizes seeing is believing but sometimes we cannot always see what's real. He takes a chance and embarks on this journey and realizes just how magical it really is and how that will never fade for who believes.

Never to old for teens or kids books everrrrrrr 😂 picked up book it the tie in picture story book had no idea and absolutely love it. Sure I not only adult that likes to read Childens or teen books 😂🤦‍♀️ anyone??????

Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can‘t see.

The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg won the Caldecott medal. The Polar Express is a Christmas classic as the story follows a boy who is skeptical about the magic of Christmas. The journey on the magical train is a fun one as the conductor tries to bring back that belief the children once had.

I loved the movie as a child. I thought it was cool to read the book and feel the spirit of Christmas again. I liked how the pictures filled each page of the book.

Such a wonderful read! Will definitely read this in my classroom when it‘s Christmas time.

It would have been more appropriate if my library hold of this had come in a week ago, but I‘m really glad I got a chance to read this classic which was brand new to me. #BBRC Picture Book Letter P @LibrarianRyan

I still haven't watched this movie because the look of it really creeps me out, but this was a sweet little Xmas book and I love trains 🤷‍♀️

2. My boys and I read the tagged every year before putting on pjs and going out to drive around and look at Christmas lights.
3. My son gets new pjs and a stuffed animal on Christmas Eve every year before reading and watching Charlie Brown Christmas. The pjs always match the dog‘s new ones 😂

This is such a great holiday read! A young boy is awaken by the sound of a train and he goes outside and notices there is a train waiting for him. He climbs aboard and he sees other children wearing pajamas and their on a journey to the North Pole to see Santa Claus .

I always wanted to see the Polar Express. I finally found it on Netflix. It was a little scary for young children (my opinion). It was great adventure with amazing soundtrack. Tom Hanks did awesome job and because of him was conductor my favourite character.
